With a voice manifestly proclaiming the prowess of a lion, Manjushri, become a youth, said this: Manjushri, if it is so that you have completely perfected the ten powers of the Thus-Gone One, have also completely perfected the ten bodhisattva grounds, have also completely perfected the Buddha ground, and have also completely perfected all the Buddha's teachings, why do you not manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfectly complete awakening? Having said that, Manjushri, become a youth, said this to the voice of the bodhisattva manifestly proclaiming the prowess of a lion: Son of good family, having completely perfected the Buddha's teachings, there is no need to repeatedly manifestly awaken to complete awakening. Why is that? Because having attained awakening, what has already been attained should not be attained again. Asked: Manjushri, what is meant by the complete perfection of the Buddha's teachings? Replied: Son of good family, whatever is the complete perfection of Suchness, that is the complete perfection of all the Buddha's teachings. Whatever is the complete perfection of space, that is the complete perfection of all the Buddha's teachings. Thus, space and all the Buddha's teachings and Suchness, these are non-dual, they are inseparable. Son of good family, what is meant by the complete perfection of all the Buddha's teachings? Those who say thus, whatever is the complete perfection of form, whatever are the aggregates of feeling, perception, formation, and whatever is the complete perfection of consciousness, that is the complete perfection of all the Buddha's teachings. Asked: Manjushri, what is the complete perfection of form? What is the complete perfection of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness? Replied: Son of good family, have you ever truly seen the permanence or impermanence of form? Replied: Manjushri, I have not seen it. Manjushri said: Son of good family, for a dharma that is neither permanent nor impermanent, is there any change of complete perfection or decline? Replied: Manjushri, there is not. Manjushri said: Son of good family, thus, for a dharma that has neither complete perfection nor decline,
English
E means complete. Asked: How does one know completeness through Dharma? Replied: Just as one knows Dharma, so too will wisdom enter. When wisdom enters, there is no discrimination, no complete discrimination. When there is no discrimination, no complete discrimination, there is nothing that makes it complete or diminishes it. Whatever is complete or undiminished is equality. Son of good family, therefore, seeing the equality of form is the completeness of form. Seeing the equality of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is the completeness of consciousness. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with the strength of a lion, spoke to Manjushri, who had become a youth, with a resounding voice, saying: Manjushri, even though you have attained patience for so long, if not even a single thought of generating the mind to attain enlightenment arises, Manjushri, how will you now lead other sentient beings to truly attain enlightenment? Replied: Son of good family, I do not lead any sentient beings to truly attain enlightenment. Why? Because there are no sentient beings, and sentient beings are empty. Son of good family, whoever fixates on sentient beings also fixates on enlightenment. Whoever fixates on enlightenment will lead sentient beings to truly attain enlightenment. Son of good family, I do not fixate on enlightenment, nor do I fixate on sentient beings, therefore, I do not lead sentient beings to attain enlightenment. There is also no aspiration for enlightenment in equality, nor is there turning away from it. Why? Because there is no conceptualization in equality, therefore there is no aspiration in equality, nor is there turning away. Therefore, there is no coming from anywhere or going anywhere for formations, that is equality. Son of good family, what is called equality is the word for emptiness, there is no aspiration for emptiness. Son of good family, you ask me, since you have attained patience for so long, why should I attain perfect and complete enlightenment?

Saying 'not generating the mind' means: Son of good family, with what mind do you attain Bodhi? Have you truly seen it as it is? He replied: Manjushri, I have not seen it. Why is that? Because the mind has no form and cannot be pointed out, therefore Bodhi is also just a name. It does not arise from the mind, so it is called Bodhi, or it is called mind, all are just names. That which is just a name is solitary and without action. He replied: Son of good family, thinking about this, how shall I attain Bodhi? Therefore, I do not generate this mind. Why is that? The mind is unborn, and the unborn has no arising. For that which has no arising, what is there to attain and realize? He replied: Manjushri, what is realization? He replied: Son of good family, that which has no self-importance towards all dharmas and understands equality is called realization. Just as not even a particle of thought arises or ceases, realizing it in this way is called realization. The Suchness that is not mistaken and is Suchness is non-conceptual, and that is called realization. Entering into equality with right view, not fixating on any dharma, and because of non-fixation, not making a distinction between one or different, and not generating self-importance, this is called realization. In all dharmas, taking the signless as the sign, realizing and knowing it with one's body, yet having no attachment to the body, and having no attachment to the mind, this is called obtaining realization. He replied: Manjushri, what is called obtaining? He replied: Son of good family, it is a word without an object of reference, therefore it is called obtaining. Its object of reference cannot be pointed out or spoken of in the three realms. The attainment of the noble ones cannot be spoken of. Why is that? Because this dharma has no place and no object of reference, therefore it cannot be spoken of. Son of good family, furthermore, it is spoken of as the sound of obtaining from non-obtaining, but in all dharmas, it is neither obtained nor not obtained, therefore it is called obtaining.
