Sa. Manjushri, thus, all non-virtue should be understood as samadhi. Manjushri, how does a Bodhisattva understand all virtue as samadhi? Whatever virtues beings possess, whatever their minds and behaviors may be, all behaviors are but one behavior; thus, know it as samadhi. The virtuous conduct of all beings, knowing its accomplishment as one, the proclaimed peaceful samadhi is shown by the sound of all. Manjushri, thus, all virtue should be understood as samadhi. Manjushri, how does a Bodhisattva understand all conditioned phenomena as samadhi? All conditioned phenomena are not conditioned phenomena; if they are measured by counting, they are immeasurable and unfathomable; thus, know it as samadhi. If it is known as unfathomable, since there is no body and no object, the proclaimed peaceful samadhi is shown by all conditioned phenomena. Manjushri, thus, all conditioned phenomena should be understood as samadhi. Manjushri, how does a Bodhisattva understand all unconditioned phenomena as samadhi? Since this dharma is peaceful in nature, there is no number in it. Tranquility is attained through ignorance, and it is shown that it is attained through samadhi. There is nothing to say about all conditioned things, and after knowing that there is no attainment, it is shown to those sentient beings who are attached to speech. Manjushri, thus, all unconditioned phenomena should be understood as samadhi. When this teaching of verses, which manifestly accomplishes the inconceivable sound, was taught, ninety-two thousand Bodhisattvas obtained forbearance of the unborn dharma. Seventy-two hundred thousand kotis of gods generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Thirty-six thousand monks were completely liberated from defilements without taking anything. Six thousand two hundred nuns also generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Eight hundred million laymen also generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Four million and two hundred thousand laywomen also generated

Generated the mind towards enlightenment. Then, Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta asked the Blessed One, saying: 'Those Bodhisattvas who arise with sharp faculties, if they hear the names of these samādhis, they will gain the illumination of all dharmas, and will be difficult to subdue by all the sons of gods of the retinue of demons and the gods who fixate on individuals, and will understand all letters with one letter, and will understand one letter with all letters, and with unimpeded eloquence will be skilled in teaching the Dharma to all sentient beings, and will be tolerant of the profound Dharma, and will realize all behaviors as one essence, and will obtain without darkness through the four individual perfect knowledges. Please, Blessed One, teach the names of these samādhis.' After asking thus, the Blessed One said to Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta: 'Mañjuśrī, therefore, listen well and keep it in mind, and I will explain.' Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta replied to the Blessed One: 'So it is, Blessed One.' And listened to the Blessed One's teaching. The Blessed One said to him: 'Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Endless Immaculate. If that samādhi is obtained, the Bodhisattva will show all forms as completely pure. Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Swiftly Going. If that samādhi is obtained, the Bodhisattva will overwhelm the sun and moon with radiance. Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Emanating Light. If that samādhi is obtained, the Bodhisattva will overwhelm the splendor of Indra and Brahma. Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Showing Lands. If that samādhi is obtained, the Bodhisattva will pacify the attachment, hatred, and ignorance of all assembled retinues. Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Unobstructed Light. If that samādhi is obtained, the Bodhisattva will illuminate all Buddha-fields with light. Mañjuśrī, there is a samādhi called Not Forgetting All Dharmas.'

That. If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can grasp and show to others all the teachings of the Buddha. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "Following the proclamation of the pleasant sound of the lion's roar." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can make even the Brahma world understand through sound. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "Completely generating all joy, satisfaction, and delight." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can make the various minds and thoughts of all sentient beings truly satisfied. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "Not being satisfied with seeing and being endowed with great joy." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva will not be satisfied with seeing and hearing. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "The source of inconceivable qualities, the realm of wisdom, the source of jewels, constant and without affliction." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can display all miraculous powers and subdue sentient beings. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "The expression of all sounds and languages." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can understand all sounds, languages, and expressions, and can express one letter with all letters, and can also express all letters with one letter. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "Accumulating and showing all merits and roots of virtue arising from the maturation of karma." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can enter a state of silence without speaking, and even without uttering a single word, can make all sentient beings hear the sound of the Buddha, the sound of the Dharma, the sound of the Sangha, the sound of the Shravaka, the sound of the Pratyekabuddha, the sound of the Bodhisattva, and the sound of the Paramitas. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "The king who excels all dharanis." If that samadhi is attained, the Bodhisattva can understand entering the practice of immeasurable dharanis. Manjushri, there is a samadhi called "Endowed with fearlessness in all dharmas."
