Seeking! Those who seek existence, seek! Those who seek, seek completely! Those who seek completely are not those with small desires! Those who are not those with small desires are those with many affairs! Those with many affairs are those with great desires! Those with great desires cause the latent afflictions of the desire realm to lie dormant. They also cause the latent afflictions of the form realm and the formless realm to lie dormant. Those who cause them to lie dormant, cause them to lie dormant! Those who cause them to lie dormant go towards continuity and the direction of continuity! Those who go towards continuity and the direction of continuity go towards death! Those who go towards death do not go towards Nirvana! Those who do not go towards Nirvana go towards non-destinations! Those who go towards non-destinations all go to the hells of sentient beings! O Āyuṣmat, therefore, one is joined by inauspicious unions. One is not joined by anger and strife. It is not by destruction. Those who are not by destruction do not discriminate against their perceptions. Those who do not discriminate against the perception of self make "what" or "mine" into a lump. They cause outflows. Why is it called "I" or "mine"? Because of clinging to what is not true, from various places of perception, actions manifest. Those who manifest actions from various places of perception, because of clinging to self, think "this is me." Why is it called "mine"? Because greed and "mine" and desires manifest turmoil, and destroy the heap of morality, and generate harmful thoughts towards others, and are overwhelmed by anger, and also generate pride in oneself, and take unhusked grain as one's own, and take, collect, and approach, therefore it is called "mine." Those who consider it "mine" are wanderers! Those wanderers are deluded! Those who are deluded are hateful! Those who are hateful are abusive! Those who are abusive are devourers! Those who devour are burning! Those who are burning are completely burning, the fire of desire's attachment.

The concept of now, the concept of birth, and the consciousness of life cling to the self, therefore it is called "mine." Furthermore, in reality, that refers to saying unpleasant things to oneself, being like a child for the sake of oneself. It makes childlike behavior latent. Therefore, it is called "mine." Shariputra, like this, whoever claims to have attained enlightenment without hearing these teachings, or claims to be practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, that is merely claiming to be practicing. Shariputra, what is the conduct of a Bodhisattva? There is no conduct in it, therefore it is called the conduct of a Bodhisattva. Shariputra, when will the conduct of a Bodhisattva be perfected, when will it be complete, when will it be gathered, when will it be purified, when will it be completely purified, when will it be thoroughly purified, and when will it be completely subdued? Those also teach the Dharma, those Dharmas are like the sky, but those Dharmas are not regarded as aggregates. Those teach the great Dharma to rational people, but not to irrational people. They teach to those who possess virtues, but not to those who are in fault. They teach to those who possess proper conduct, but not to those who have bad conduct. You should uphold those Dharmas, uphold them in such a way that you do not become attached to the Dharma. Why is that? Because the Tathagata speaks the most excellent Dharma, and for the benefit of those beings who should be tamed, I should answer the question with the most excellent Dharma. So, what is the most excellent of Dharmas? It is the absence of any concept of Dharma. Shariputra, in this case, the Bodhisattva will initially possess morality. Whoever has regret in their heart will not commit the five heinous crimes. Will not slander nuns. Will not become a ghost in the house. Will not kill. Will not take what is not given. Will not commit sexual misconduct. Will not lie. Will not speak divisive words. Will not speak harsh words. Will not speak idle words. Will not be greedy. Will not harbor malice. Will not have wrong views. Will not think of harming oneself. Will not think of harming others. Wanting to gather.
