Connective. Whatever is fully connected, that is various speech. Whatever is various speech, that is speaking muteness. Whatever is speaking muteness, that is sorrow. Whatever is sorrow, that is anger. Whatever is anger, that is decay, knowing the net in which the laws of the desirable and undesirable reside. Although no law dwells here, yet the stream of consciousness binds consciousness, and because consciousness is bound, it is the stream of consciousness, therefore it is called bound by consciousness. The place of non-arising is the place of desire, the place of anger, the place of jealousy, the place of ignorance, and by conceptualizing what is not true, one conceptualizes and analyzes, therefore one does not quickly attain the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Light Guardian, thus it is the place of craving, why is it called the place of craving? Whatever is called the law of craving, there is nothing, and there is no law of craving here, and there is no law of what is craved there. However, craving manifests and clings to manifestation, and defiles the sky. Whoever defiles the sky will find defilement, defiled by self, and defiled by sentient beings, and defiled by good and non-good. Light Guardian, thus, to conceptualize with non-existent dharmas is non-existence. Whoever has the perception of things in non-existence makes things into enlightenment. Whoever makes things into enlightenment has the perception of self. Whoever has the perception of self is not called a Bodhisattva. Why is it called having the perception of self? Because consciousness is not observed, whoever does not observe consciousness does not have consciousness, therefore it is called having the perception of self. For example, what is called the perception of self is a superfluous word of a non-true basis. However, whatever sentient being is complete, that is complete enlightenment. What is that enlightenment? Whatever is the perfection of becoming illusion. What is the transformation into illusion? To perceive and speak of great beings, and great life

Again, consciousness and speech. If one is conscious and abides in consciousness, it is unconscious and abides in unconsciousness. If one is unconscious and abides in unconsciousness, it is nourishing. If it is nourishing, it is suffering, and one universally goes to suffering. If it is suffering and one universally goes to suffering, it goes and abides in speech, as the Tathagata said. Why is it called going and abiding in speech? Because of extreme attention. If there is attention, there is ego-grasping. If there is ego-grasping, there is action. If there is action, there is extreme existence. If there is extreme existence, it is universal speaking, near speaking, and abiding, as the Tathagata said. Therefore, all phenomena arise from attention. Light-protector, for example, the cloud masses that arise from the sky above do not come from the east, not from the south, not from the west, not from the north, not from above, not from below, not from a direction, nor from an intermediate direction. Thus, the Tathagata, the speaker of truth, knows that they do not come from the ten directions, and with the aspect of meaning, the aspect of reason, and the aspect of truth, the cloud mass is non-existent, as he truly speaks. Therefore, the non-mass is called a cloud mass. Why is it called a cloud mass? Because of the wide space. What is the wide space like? It is said to be the mark of floating with the combination of various marks, which is the confusion of bondage. In it, there is no consciousness that can float. The cloud mass depends on arising from the mark of floating, and that mark of floating is without a mark. If one is extremely conscious of floating, then it is not a cloud mass. Light-protector, for example, if someone says to another person: Chase after that shadow and sit down. Then, a person with wise nature says: Old age is without joy, do you live here? He says: You

It is not said of you, but of this shadow. He spoke thus: Alas, that shadow that you spoke of, was spoken by the shadowless one. Shariputra, look at who understands so many terms. Shariputra, look at who understands so many terms. Shariputra, thus the Tathagata, knowing the reality of all dharmas, roars the true lion's roar to the retinue. Shariputra, the Tathagata, if he wishes, can abide in a cognition that is inconsistent with the conforming dharmas. The self-cognition that beings possess, that is the ultimate truth of the Tathagata. Why is that? Because the Tathagata knows, and knows truly. The cognition of beings, that is non-cognition. Some who have the nature of children, not understanding the transformations of the shadow, they oppose the Tathagata. Therefore, I say: the world opposes me. Therefore, I say: the world opposes me, I argue with the world. Thus it is said. What is the world? The so-called world is the world of beings. Why is it called the world of beings? Because as the Tathagata knows, so is the world. Therefore, beings are called the world. How ordinary people understand, that is the extremely destructive world. Decaying, utterly decaying. For example, the utterly destroyed world, that is to make them understand these terms. Why is that? Because all who dwell in this world will become greatly destroyed. All who dwell in this world are greedy. All who are greedy are angry. All who are angry are foolish. All who are foolish are impure. All who are impure are contradictory. Contradictory to whom? Contradictory to the Tathagata and the Shravakas of the Tathagata. All who are contradictory are attached. All who are attached are separately attached. All who are separately attached are existent.
