Go to him and ask how a bodhisattva should train in the conduct of a bodhisattva, and how one should be diligent. Then, the merchant's son, Norzang, bowed his head to the feet of the maiden Loving One, circumambulated the maiden Loving One hundreds of thousands of times, looked at her again and again, and then departed from the maiden Loving One. In order to fully grasp the Dharma of all Tathagatas, and to correctly generate the light of wisdom in all sentient beings, remembering the conduct of the Tathagatas, and engaging in walking for the benefit of all beings, walking neither hastily nor slowly, without lotus flowers, and exceedingly beautifully, possessing the garments of the gods of the pure abodes, one sees gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, Indra, Brahma, the protectors of the world, and humans and non-humans surrounding and sitting. When the monk 'Pleasing to See' walks, the gods of the directions, who have manifested in the directions, accomplish the mandala of the directions. The gods who walk on foot receive with precious lotuses the placing of his steps. The fire gods, the inexhaustible mandalas of light, also dispel darkness and dimness. The gods of the Jambudvipa forest also manifestly shower down rains of many flowers. The earth gods, those with unwavering hearts, also reveal many sources of precious jewels. The sky gods, those endowed with the splendor of all appearances, also completely adorn the expanse of the sky. The ocean gods, the source of all splendor, also manifestly scatter many supreme jewels. The gods of Mount Meru, those with immaculate hearts, also join their palms and prostrate. The wind gods, those with unobstructed power, also intensely scatter winds of incense, fragrant smoke, and scattered flowers. The night gods, those who abide, those whose bodies are exceedingly adorned, also bow their bodies exceedingly and prostrate.
