If someone asks, what is the world called "Ocean of Worlds" that abides in the essence of the Tathagata's palm? The Bhagavan Tathagata, whose wisdom is vast like the ocean, named Vairochana, has in the center of his palm something called "Essence of Extremely Subtle Dust." Within it are oceans of consciousness realms, as many as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there is something called "Boundless Ocean of Dharma Realm," in which abide as many oceans of worlds as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there is something called "Unbounded Ocean of Space Realm," in which abide as many oceans of worlds as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there is something called "Fierce Ocean of Fire Realm," in which abide as many oceans of worlds as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there is something called "Nectar Ocean of Water Realm," in which abide as many oceans of worlds as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there is something called "Essence of Jewels Ocean of Earth Realm," in which abide as many oceans of worlds as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Above these, there appear oceans of worlds as many as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds, called "Born from Flowers Without Marks." Those flowers each have corners equivalent to the size of oceans of worlds as many as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds. Upon this, this ocean of worlds abides. Therefore, the ocean of worlds that abides in the essence of the Tathagata's palm is called the ocean of worlds that abides in the essence of the Tathagata's palm. Thus, these and other oceans of worlds possess immeasurable qualities. In short, in many oceans of worlds, as many as the extremely subtle dust particles of ten oceans of worlds, there are as many qualities as there are qualities in that ocean of worlds. In that ocean of worlds, there are oceans of worlds.

Named Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra, it abides in the shape of the body of the Brahma god. There is the Mount Sumeru world, possessing a retinue of dust particles as numerous as ten ocean worlds. That Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra world possesses the world called Ocean Fragrance Supreme, with dust particles as numerous as ten ocean worlds. It abides on the throne of the great staircase of the ocean world, possessing dust particles as numerous as ten ocean worlds. The surface of the ocean world possesses dust particles as numerous as ten ocean worlds. Why is that? Why is the world called Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra called Samantabhadra? That Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra world has no impure world whatsoever, and however many beings are born there, all those beings, whatever dharma they completely focus on, with that focus, they will perfect the practice of Samantabhadra. Therefore, the Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra world is called Samantabhadra. That Mount Sumeru world, thus possesses such immeasurable qualities. In short, however many qualities there are in the ocean world, the Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra world also has that many qualities. In that Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra world, the one called the Holder of the Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds abides in the shape of the body of the Paranirmitavasavartin god. Many Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds are surrounded by a retinue of worlds as numerous as dust particles of ten ocean worlds. That Holder of the Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds is thoroughly situated in the play of the gods, as numerous as dust particles of ten ocean worlds. Similarly, the play of nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans is thoroughly situated in

十方世界微尘数，皆悉安住其中。如来欢喜之世界，十方世界微尘数，皆悉安住其中。如是菩萨，及独觉、声闻之欢喜世界，十方世界微尘数，皆悉安住其中。名为三千大千世界总持者，其中众生凡有生者，除意识差别外，道之体性无有差别。生处无有差别，乘无有差别。何以故，三千大千世界总持者，名为总持耶？三千大千世界总持者，其中凡有众生生者，皆无堕恶趣之怖畏。亦无堕入下乘之怖畏。亦无堕入悭吝之怖畏。亦无堕入恶戒之怖畏。亦无堕入不忍之怖畏。亦无堕入懈怠之怖畏。 亦无堕入散乱之怖畏。亦无堕入恶慧之怖畏。是故，名为总持之三千大千世界，名为总持。如是彼等三千大千世界总持者，乃具足无量无边之功德。总而言之，如世界须弥山普贤处有几许功德，如是三千大千世界总持者，亦有如是功德。于三千大千世界总持者处，有名为二千世界共同受用者。安住于化乐天之形相中。众多二千世界为十方世界微尘数之眷属所围绕。名为二千世界共同受用者，乃恒常如来之光明海。

The world of the Tathagata's joy is perfectly dwelling in the number of extremely small particles of the ten directions' ocean of worlds. Likewise, the worlds of joy of Bodhisattvas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Shravakas are perfectly dwelling in the number of extremely small particles of the ten directions' ocean of worlds. In what is called the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world, all sentient beings born there, except for the difference in consciousness, have no difference in the nature of the path. There is no difference in the place of birth, and there is no difference in the vehicle. Why is the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world called all-embracing? In the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world, all sentient beings born there have no fear of falling into the lower realms. There is also no fear of falling into the lower vehicle. There is also no fear of falling into stinginess. There is also no fear of falling into bad morality. There is also no fear of falling into impatience. There is also no fear of falling into laziness. There is also no fear of falling into distraction. There is also no fear of falling into bad wisdom. Therefore, the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world is called all-embracing. Thus, the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world, among others, is endowed with countless and immeasurable qualities. In short, just as the world Mount Sumeru Samantabhadra has many qualities, so too does the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world have those qualities. In the all-embracing three-thousand-great-thousand world, there is what is called the two-thousand world that is jointly used. It dwells in the form of the gods of the Paranirmitavasavartin heaven. Many two-thousand worlds are surrounded by retinues of the number of extremely small particles of the ten directions' ocean of worlds. What is called the two-thousand world that is jointly used is the constant ocean of light of the Tathagata.
