A great courageous bodhisattva, having quickly perfected all the dharmas of the path to enlightenment, will swiftly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Furthermore, Manjushri, when a bodhisattva mahasattva does not see, from the realm of self to the realm of dharma, arising, ceasing, oneness, or separateness, Manjushri, such a patient bodhisattva mahasattva will swiftly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Son of good family, if one does not think about or conceptualize unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, this patience will also lead to the attainment of the dharmas of a bodhisattva and the dharmas of a buddha. If one does not aspire to enlightenment for the sake of becoming a buddha, such patience, son of good family, I declare that he will quickly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. All dharmas are the dharmas of the Buddha, and one who believes in this way and does not shrink back, I declare that he will not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and it should be said that he is inseparable from all the dharmas of the Buddha. Son of good family or daughter of good family, one who, having heard this teaching, does not become confused and does not doubt, it should also be said that he is inseparable from all the dharmas of the Buddha. After he spoke thus, Manjushri, become youthful, asked the Blessed One this: Blessed One, does unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment necessarily arise from a cause? The Blessed One replied: Manjushri, it is not so. Unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is not a cause, nor does it necessarily arise from a cause. Why is that? Because that which is unborn and without substance is neither a cause nor does it necessarily arise from a cause. Why is that? Because all dharmas are unborn. Manjushri, therefore, a son of good family or daughter of good family who, having heard this teaching, does not become diminished, will also not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

Where did I say that? Manjushri, therefore, whether it is a monk, a nun, a male lay practitioner, or a female lay practitioner, those who do not shrink from this profound Prajnaparamita, and do not fear it, those are taking refuge in me. Those are following me in ordination. Their teacher is me. Manjushri, any son or daughter of good family who does not study this profound Prajnaparamita, does not study the training of a Bodhisattva. Manjushri, for example, all the elements, seeds, grasses, trees, medicines, and forests, all of these grow relying on the great earth. Manjushri, similarly, whatever virtuous qualities the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas have, if they are completely grasped by the Prajnaparamita, they will increase, expand, and become vast, and will not deceive towards the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. After saying this, youthful Manjushri said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita teaching that the Blessed One has taught, in which villages, cities, countries, or regions in this Jambudvipa will anyone uphold and teach this Prajnaparamita teaching? After asking this, the Blessed One said to youthful Manjushri: Manjushri, those who hear this Prajnaparamita teaching in this lifetime, and also make the aspiration to hear this Prajnaparamita teaching in future lives, those will go from hearing to practicing in a way that is not extensive. Manjushri, those who hear this profound Prajnaparamita, and after hearing it, also obtain joy and vast delight, I do not say that their roots of virtue are small. Manjushri, if someone wants to hear this Prajnaparamita teaching, say to them: Son of good family, what is the use of you hearing it? After hearing it, you will not believe and will shrink back. Why is that? Because this
