Shariputra, do not practice yoga thinking that form is profound. Shariputra, in this way, not practicing yoga thinking that form is profound, thus one does not abide in thinking that form is profound. Likewise, it is the same for feelings, perceptions, formations, and Shariputra, do not practice yoga thinking that consciousness is profound. Shariputra, in this way, not practicing yoga thinking that consciousness is profound, thus one does not abide in thinking that consciousness is profound. Having spoken thus, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is profound, and should be taught to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who have been prophesied to be irreversible. For what reason is that? Blessed One, they will not be hesitant, will not be doubtful, will not be foolish, and will not argue. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to the venerable Shariputra: Noble Shariputra, if this Perfection of Wisdom is taught to Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who have not been prophesied, it will become a fault. Having spoken thus, the venerable Shariputra said to the Lord of the Gods, Indra: Kauśika, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has not been prophesied, if he is able to see, prostrate, make offerings, and hear this profound Perfection of Wisdom, and after hearing it, does not shrink back, does not fear, and is not filled with fear, then, Kauśika, it should be known that that Bodhisattva Mahasattva has come from a distant place, and it should be known that he has entered the right path for a long time, and that his roots of virtue are fully matured. This one will soon receive the prophecy of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and it should be known that he is close to the prophecy. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva will not pass beyond one, two, or three Tathagata Arhats Perfectly Awakened Ones, and then will attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment.

will also receive a prophecy of Bodhi. However, those Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones will be pleased, and even if pleased, (anger) will not arise. Seeing the Tathāgata will also make the prophecy fruitful. From seeing the Tathāgata, one will also receive a prophecy of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi. As long as one has received the prophecy of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, then, seeing the Tathāgata, prostrating, serving, honoring, and until one has manifestly and completely awakened to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi, it will make it fruitful. Then, the venerable Śāriputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva is able to see, prostrate, serve, and hear this profound Prajñāpāramitā, then, Blessed One, that Bodhisattva Mahāsattva has come from a distant place, and I think that he has correctly entered the Mahayana for a long time, and his roots of virtue have been fully matured. What need is there to mention those who, after hearing this, will also uphold, recite, read, understand, diligently recite, explain, explain in detail, receive the meaning, and chant." Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Śāriputra: "Śāriputra, it is so, it is so. Śāriputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahāsattva is able to see, prostrate, serve, and hear this profound Prajñāpāramitā, then, Śāriputra, that Bodhisattva Mahāsattva has come from a distant place, and it should be known that he has correctly entered the Mahayana for a long time, and his roots of virtue have been fully matured.

Thus, the venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, I dare to ask, Sugata, I dare to ask. Blessed One, for example, if any son or daughter of a noble family who belongs to the Bodhisattva Vehicle even dreams of sitting at the heart of the Bodhi tree, Blessed One, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is approaching the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment for the sake of attaining perfect enlightenment. Blessed One, similarly, if any son or daughter of a noble family is able to see, pay homage to, attend to, and listen to this profound Perfection of Wisdom, Blessed One, that person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle comes from a great distance. Having properly entered the Vehicle for a long time, the roots of virtue are fully matured. Even after hearing it, what need is there to mention holding, reciting, understanding, diligently practicing, explaining, elaborately explaining, transmitting, and reciting? That person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle is predicted and approached. That Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, it should be known, will be predicted by the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, for the sake of attaining perfect enlightenment. Any Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who is able to encounter and hear this profound Perfection of Wisdom, it should be known, has properly entered the Vehicle for a long time, and the roots of virtue are fully matured. Blessed One, what need is there to mention that any son or daughter of a noble family will hold, recite, understand, diligently practice, elaborately explain, transmit, and recite this profound Perfection of Wisdom? Why is that? Blessed One, the minds of those sentient beings who are associated with being impoverished by the Dharma, accumulating negative karma, and mostly not being separated from it, mostly become incompatible with this profound Perfection of Wisdom, and their minds turn away.
