Kausika, however many sentient beings there are in the intermediate two thousandfold world, all those sentient beings, any son or daughter of a family who places them in the state of solitary enlightenment, and Kausika, let alone the merit accumulated by placing all the sentient beings of the intermediate two thousandfold world in the state of solitary enlightenment. Kausika, however many sentient beings there are in the great three thousandfold world, all those sentient beings, any son or daughter of a family who places them in the state of solitary enlightenment, and Kausika, let alone the merit accumulated by placing all the sentient beings of the great three thousandfold world in the state of solitary enlightenment. Kausika, if any son or daughter of a family places all the sentient beings in as many worlds as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River in the great three thousandfold world in the state of solitary enlightenment, Kausika, what do you think? Does that son or daughter of a family accumulate more merit from that basis? Indra replied: Bhagavan, many, Sugata, many. The Bhagavan said: Kausika, even more than that, this son or daughter of a family accumulates much more merit, because this Perfection of Wisdom, even in a small volume, is contained in a book, and with faith, they believe, with understanding, they understand, with superior intention, they have superior intention, with joy in their hearts, they have joy in their hearts, with superior and complete intention, they have superior and complete intention, and they give with superior intention to a Bodhisattva who has generated the mind of enlightenment, or they write and recite it in a small volume.

Accomplishing without any懈怠 in any aspect, and diligently causing them to uphold it, and truly showing, and truly establishing, and truly praising, and truly making them rejoice, and expressing with words, and expressing with forms, and subsequently expressing, and truly showing them the meaning of this, and saying to them like this: 'Good son, come here, study this Bodhisattva path!' If you study and practice this path, and strive, then you will quickly manifest and attain the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. After manifesting and attaining Buddhahood, for the immeasurable and boundless realm of sentient beings, causing them to be subdued to the unsurpassed complete exhaustion of the aggregates, such as distinguishing the true limits. Saying this and thus subduing their minds, and making them without doubt. If you say these words: 'Good son, you should attain those Dharmas that possess Prajnaparamita like this.' Then this will generate extremely much merit. What is the reason for that? कौशिका, because this will distinguish the Pratyekabuddha. Therefore, good son, however you study the Prajnaparamita, in that way you will gradually attain the Dharmas of the Buddhas. You will be close to the unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If you study and practice this training, and strive, then you will distinguish the Stream-enterer fruit. You will distinguish the Once-returner fruit. You will distinguish the Non-returner fruit. You will distinguish the Arhat. You will distinguish the Pratyekabuddha. You will distinguish the perfectly enlightened Buddha.' In this way, it will increase their interest. कौशिका, furthermore, however many sentient beings there are in Jambudvipa, if any good son or good daughter causes them to generate the mind of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. कौशिका, any other good son or good daughter causes them all to attain unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.
