said: "Venerable Shariputra, 'not knowing correctly' is called 'not knowing.' Why is that? Because there is no samadhi, therefore one does not know correctly. Samadhi also does not know correctly." Then, the Blessed One gave the word "Good!" to the Venerable Subhuti, saying: "As you, with the power of the Tathagata and the blessing of the Tathagata, explain, Subhuti, good, good! Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should train in this way. Why is that? If Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas train in this way, they are training in the Prajnaparamita." Then, the Venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva train in order to train in the Prajnaparamita?" After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Shariputra: "Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva trains in this way, he is training in the Prajnaparamita." After saying this, the Venerable Shariputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva trains in this way, what Dharma is he training in?" After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Shariputra: "Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva trains in this way, he is not training in any Dharma. Why is that? Shariputra, those Dharmas are not present in the way that foolish ordinary people who do not have learning appear to be attached to them. The Venerable Shariputra said: "Blessed One, then how do they exist?" The Blessed One said: "Shariputra, they truly exist in the way that they do not exist, and because they do not exist in that way, they are called ignorance. Those foolish ordinary people who do not have learning are attached to them, and those people examine all Dharmas as non-existent. After examining them, because they are attached to the two extremes, they do not understand or see those Dharmas."

I, therefore, without these, discriminate all dharmas. After discriminating, they cling to the two extremes. Those who cling, based on the object of focus, abide in the object of focus, discriminate past dharmas, discriminate future dharmas, discriminate present dharmas. After discriminating with these, they cling to name and form. They discriminate all non-existent dharmas. Because they discriminate all those non-existent dharmas, they do not know or see the correct path as it is. Because they do not know or see the correct path as it is, they will certainly not emerge from the three realms, and they will not comprehend the correct limit. Therefore, they enter the ranks of those called children. They do not believe in the truth of the Dharma. Shariputra, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas do not cling to any Dharma. After he spoke thus, the venerable Shariputra said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva trains in this way, are they training in all-knowingness? The Blessed One said: Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva trains in this way, they are training in all-knowingness. Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva trains in this way, they are training in all dharmas. Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva trains in this way, they will train in all-knowingness, they will approach all-knowingness, they will definitely arise in all-knowingness. Then, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if someone asks, 'Will this illusory person train in all-knowingness? Will they approach all-knowingness? Will they definitely arise in all-knowingness?' How should I explain to them, Blessed One? After he said this, the Blessed One said this to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, therefore, I will ask you here, explain as you are able. After he said this, the venerable Subhuti replied to the Blessed One: Very well, then the venerable Subhuti

Thus have I heard. The Blessed One said this: "Subhuti, what do you think? Is illusion different from form, or is form different from illusion? Likewise, is illusion different from feeling, or is feeling different from illusion? Is illusion different from perception, or is perception different from illusion? Is illusion different from formations, or are formations different from illusion? Subhuti, what do you think? Is illusion different from consciousness, or is consciousness different from illusion?" Subhuti replied, "Blessed One, it is not like that. Illusion is not different from form, form is not different from illusion. Blessed One, form itself is illusion, illusion itself is form. Blessed One, likewise, illusion is not different from feeling, feeling is not different from illusion, illusion is not different from perception, perception is not different from illusion, illusion is not different from formations, formations are not different from illusion. Blessed One, feeling, perception, and formations themselves are illusion, illusion itself is feeling, perception, and formations. Blessed One, illusion is not different from consciousness, consciousness is not different from illusion. Blessed One, consciousness itself is illusion, illusion itself is consciousness." The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, what do you think? In these five aggregates of grasping, is there such a thing as the idea, complete knowledge, consciousness, or term called 'Bodhisattva'?" When this was said, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, it is so, Sugata, it is so. Blessed One, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who trains in the Perfection of Wisdom should train in unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment like a person of illusion. Why is that? Blessed One, these five aggregates of grasping should be regarded as a person of illusion. Why is that? Blessed One, the Blessed One has said that form is like an illusion. That which is form is the six faculties and the five aggregates. Blessed One, the Blessed One has said that feeling, perception, and formations are like an illusion, and Blessed One, the Blessed One has said that consciousness is also like an illusion. Blessed One, that which is consciousness
