How does one train in the ground of a solitary buddha? How does one train in the faultless state of a bodhisattva? How does one train in fully ripening sentient beings? How does one train in fully purifying a buddhafield? How does one train in all the doors of retention? How does one train in all the doors of meditative stabilization? How does one train in the bodhisattva path by which, having trained in it, one will realize the aspects of all phenomena? Venerable Lord, those conceptualizations do not exist in that element of reality. Venerable Lord, does a bodhisattva mahāsattva act perversely or not change? Why is that? Venerable Lord, it is because those conceptualizations do not exist in that element of reality. Form is not the element of reality. Feeling, perception, formations, consciousness, the eye sense base, and even the dharma sense base, the eye element, and even the mind consciousness element are not the element of reality. Apart from form, feeling, perception, and formations, there is no element of reality. Apart from consciousness, there is none. Apart from the eye sense base and even the dharma sense base, there is no element of reality. Apart from the eye element, there is none. Apart from even the mind consciousness element, there is no element of reality. Form itself is the element of reality, and the element of reality itself is form. Likewise, consciousness itself is the element of reality, and the element of reality itself is consciousness. Just as it was explained in the previous chapter, likewise, one should widely apply it to all phenomena as well. Having requested thus, the Lord spoke to the venerable Subhuti, saying: Subhuti, it is so, it is so, just as you have said. All those conceptualizations do not exist in the element of reality. Form is not the element of reality, and apart from form, there is no element of reality. Likewise, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are not the element of reality.

Also. Apart from consciousness, there is no such thing as the realm of phenomena. Form itself is the realm of phenomena, and the realm of phenomena itself is form. Similarly, up to consciousness itself is the realm of phenomena, and the realm of phenomena itself is consciousness. Just as it was done with the aggregates, so too should it be applied extensively to the sense bases. Subhuti, if a bodhisattva mahasattva, while practicing the perfection of wisdom, sees some phenomena apart from the realm of phenomena, then he will not be one who seeks after unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, therefore, a bodhisattva mahasattva, while practicing the perfection of wisdom, does not see any phenomena apart from the realm of phenomena. Therefore, if one knows all phenomena to be the realm of phenomena, all phenomena are without names, this is form, this is feeling, this is perception, these are formations, this is consciousness. Similarly, applying it, up to this is unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, it is indicated by the sign of names. Subhuti, for example, a magician or a skilled disciple of a magician, having blessed only some visible forms, then in front of many people shows various kinds of forms, such as the form of a man, or the form of a woman, or the forms of elephants, horses, and cows, or a delightful pleasure garden, or a delightful river, or a delightful pond, or delightful various trees, and there also shows various kinds of cushions, or clothes to wear, and also shows various kinds of flower garlands, And also shows various kinds of foods, drinks, tastes, snacks, and beverages. With many sounds of songs and music, he makes those many people very happy, and shows himself giving alms, or keeping moral discipline, or practicing patience, or exerting effort, or entering into meditative concentration, or also shows himself cultivating wisdom. Moreover, they also become, by those means, like great royal sala trees.
