And, how does one practice the six supernormal knowledges arising from the ripening, and teach the Dharma to sentient beings? Because, for this, sentient beings and the designation as sentient beings are also not attainable. Because sentient beings are not attainable, form is also not attainable, and even consciousness is not attainable. The six perfections are also not attainable. Similarly, the eighty minor marks and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, etc., are also not attainable. Sentient beings and the designation as sentient beings are not attainable, then form is also not attainable, similarly, even the eighty minor marks are not attainable. The eighty minor marks are also not attainable, then, Blessed One, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Prajnaparamita, and teach the Dharma to sentient beings? Blessed One, wouldn't that Bodhisattva Mahasattva cause sentient beings to grasp onto non-existent dharmas, and engage in perversion? Or wouldn't it become like that? What is the reason for that? Blessed One, thus a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practicing the Prajnaparamita, even the Bodhisattva himself is not attainable, let alone the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment? After asking thus, the Blessed One said this to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, it is just like that, it is just like that. It is just as you said. Subhuti, because sentient beings are not attainable, one should understand the emptiness of the internal. One should understand the emptiness of the external. One should understand the emptiness of the internal and external. Similarly, by analogy, one should understand the emptiness of the nature of non-things. One should understand the emptiness of the aggregates. One should understand the emptiness of the elements. One should understand the emptiness of the sense bases. One should understand the emptiness of dependent origination. One should understand the emptiness of self, the emptiness of sentient beings, the emptiness of life, the emptiness of a creator, the emptiness of a person, the emptiness of an individual.

And, one should realize that nourishment is emptiness, the author and the one who causes to act, the beggar and the one who completely begs, the feeler and the one who causes to feel, the knower and the seer are emptiness. Similarly, one should realize that meditation is emptiness. One should realize that the immeasurable is emptiness, the formless attainments are emptiness, and the mindfulness is emptiness. One should realize that the thirty-seven branches of the path to enlightenment until the end are emptiness. One should realize that emptiness itself is emptiness. One should realize that the signless and the wishless are emptiness. Similarly, one should realize that the eight liberations are emptiness, the nine successive abidings are emptiness, the ten powers of the Tathagata are emptiness, the four fearlessnesses are emptiness, the four analytical knowledges are emptiness, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are emptiness. One should realize that the fruit of stream-enterer and the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner and the state of Arhat, and the solitary enlightenment are emptiness. One should realize that the bodhisattva grounds are emptiness. One should realize that the Buddha-fields are emptiness. One should realize that enlightenment is emptiness. Subhuti, in this way, after a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva sees all those dharmas as empty, he teaches the Dharma to sentient beings who have become inverted, so that they do not turn back from those emptinesses, he teaches the Dharma in that way. Therefore, he sees all dharmas without obscuration and correctly, he does not disturb any dharma, and without making dualistic distinctions, he teaches the Dharma as it is. Subhuti, for example, a manifestation of the Tathagata manifests hundreds of thousands of manifestations, some are placed in generosity, some are placed in ethics, and similarly, some are placed in patience, some are placed in diligence, some are placed in concentration, some are placed in wisdom, some are placed in meditations, some are placed in the immeasurable, some are placed in the formless.
