For those present samādhis, some are established in the close mindfulness, some are established between the noble eightfold path, some are established between the omniscience itself, some are established in the fruit of stream-enterer, some are established between the bodhi. Subhūti, what do you think about this? Do you think that the emanation will cause any dharma to increase? He replied: Bhagavan, it is not so. The Buddha said: Subhūti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva practice the Perfection of Wisdom, teach the Dharma to sentient beings, and liberate them from perversions in a way that is neither bound nor liberated, and establish them in the reality as it is, should be understood in this way. What is the reason for this? Subhūti, for example, form is neither bound nor liberated, and so are feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness. The nature of form that is neither bound nor liberated is not form. The nature of feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness that is neither bound nor liberated is also not consciousness. The nature of being neither bound nor liberated between conditioned and unconditioned dharmas is also not conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. What is the reason for this? Subhūti, for example, the dharmas between form and consciousness, and between conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, are extremely pure. Subhūti, a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, teaches the Dharma to sentient beings, but also does not cling to sentient beings. A Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva abides in a way that does not cling to all dharmas, that is, he abides without clinging to the nature called emptiness of form, without clinging to the nature of emptiness up to consciousness, and abides without clinging to the nature of emptiness of the dharmas between conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Conditioned and unconditioned dharmas do not abide anywhere either. What is the reason for this? Because, for them, there is no inherent nature in which they can abide.

Because of non-existence, non-existent things do not abide in non-existence, one's own things do not abide in non-existence, and others' things do not abide in non-existence or one's own things. Why is that? Subhuti, like this, all of those are without object, and whatever is without object will not abide in anything. Subhuti, in this way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom should meditate on all those dharmas as emptiness. Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom in that way, it is not harming the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the Bodhisattvas, the Pratyekabuddhas, the Shravakas, and all the Aryas. Why is that? Subhuti, like this, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the Bodhisattvas, the Pratyekabuddhas, and the Shravakas also realize the Dharma-nature of all dharmas, and after realizing it, they also teach the Dharma to sentient beings, and they do not transcend the Dharma-nature of all dharmas. The Dharma-dhatu is also untranscendable, and Suchness and the Ultimate Reality are also untranscendable. Why is that? Subhuti, like this, because there is no nature in those that can be transcended. The Eight Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, Chapter Fifty-Two. After this was said, the Venerable Subhuti said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, if the Dharma-dhatu is not transcended, and Suchness and the Ultimate Reality are not transcended, then, Bhagavan, is form different from the Dharma-dhatu, is Suchness different, is the Ultimate Reality different? Is consciousness also different? Are conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, mundane and supramundane, defiled and undefiled dharmas also different?" The Bhagavan said: "Subhuti, it is not like that. Form is not different, and the Dharma-dhatu is not different. Suchness is not different, and the Ultimate Reality is

It is not other. Consciousness is also not other, and the interval between all dharmas is also not other. The element of dharma is also not other, and suchness and the ultimate limit are also not other. When this was said, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if form is not other, and the element of dharma is not other, and even the interval of consciousness is not other. Even the interval between conditioned and unconditioned dharmas is not other. Likewise, even the interval of the element of dharma is not other, Blessed One, then the black maturation of black dharmas is the hell of sentient beings, and the place of birth of animals, and the world of Yama. The white maturation of white dharmas is gods and humans. The black and white maturation of black and white dharmas is what brings happiness and suffering. The maturation of dharmas that are neither black nor white is the fruit of stream-enterer, and the fruit of once-returner, and the fruit of non-returner, and the state of arhat, solitary enlightenment, and unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. How can there be a distinction? When this was said, the Blessed One said this to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, it is only by relying on conventional truth that the distinction of fruits is shown, but in ultimate truth, the distinction of fruits cannot be shown. Why is that? It is like this: name and form are without birth, and without cessation, and without complete defilement, and without complete purification. That dharma is without conceptualization and unspeakable, it is emptiness that transcends limits, and emptiness that is without beginning and end. When this was said, the venerable Subhuti said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if there is a distinction of fruits by relying on conventional truth, but there is none in ultimate truth, Blessed One, then
