It will not be separated from wisdom itself. Shariputra, this Prajnaparamita will be practiced in the southern direction after the Tathagata's passing. There, monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen will write, uphold, recite, read, comprehend, and properly attend to this profound Prajnaparamita. By that root of virtue, they will not go to evil destinies and places of wrong views, they will experience the perfections of gods and humans, and they will become manifestly superior through the six perfections. They will honor, respect, revere, and make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and they will gradually be completely liberated from suffering through the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, this profound Prajnaparamita will be practiced in the Vata region, where the male side declines. There, monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen will write, uphold, recite, read, comprehend, and properly attend to this profound Prajnaparamita, and they will honor, respect, revere, and make offerings with flowers, incense, perfume, garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and flags. By that root of virtue, they will not go to evil paths and places of wrong views, they will experience the perfections of gods and humans, and they will become manifestly superior through the six perfections. They will make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and they will gradually and certainly be liberated from samsara through the Hearer Vehicle, the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, and the Great Vehicle. 甚深般若，书写、受持、读诵、通达、如理作意，彼等善根，不堕恶趣，受用天人圆满，六波罗蜜多现前增上，供养诸佛世尊，渐次生起三乘，声闻乘、缘觉乘、大乘。舍利子，如是甚深般若波罗蜜多，未来五百岁末，彼等将作佛事。何以故？舍利子，法与律为心要，故正法不灭。舍利子，善男子、善女子，凡书写、受持、读诵、通达、如理作意甚深般若波罗蜜多，并如实修持者，乃我之意。舍利子，善男子、善女子，凡书写甚深般若波罗蜜多，书写后，以花、香、灯、花鬘、涂香、粉、衣、伞、幢、幡等恭敬、尊重、描绘、供养者，彼等善男子、善女子，以彼善根，不堕恶趣，受用天人圆满，波罗蜜多增上，增上后，恭敬、尊重、描绘、供养诸佛世尊，渐次生起三乘，声闻乘、缘觉乘、大乘。何以故？舍利子，譬如，善男子、善女子

This profound perfection, writing it, holding it, reciting it, understanding it, properly attending to it, those roots of virtue, will not fall into the evil realms, will experience the perfections of gods and humans, will be manifestly elevated by the six perfections, will make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and will gradually arise in the three vehicles, the vehicle of the Hearers, the vehicle of the Solitary Buddhas, and the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, thus, this profound Perfection of Wisdom, in the final five hundred years of the future, those will perform the deeds of the Buddha. Why is that? Shariputra, when the Dharma and Discipline become the heart, the Holy Dharma will not perish. Shariputra, whatever sons of good family or daughters of good family write, hold, recite, understand, properly attend to, and accomplish in suchness this profound Perfection of Wisdom, that is my intention. Shariputra, whatever sons of good family or daughters of good family will write this profound Perfection of Wisdom, and having written it, will honor, respect, depict, and make offerings with flowers, incense, lamps, flower garlands, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and flags, those sons of good family and daughters of good family, by that root of virtue, will not fall into the evil realms, will experience the perfections of gods and humans, and will be manifestly elevated by the perfections, and having been manifestly elevated, will honor, respect, depict, and make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and will gradually arise in the three vehicles, the vehicle of the Hearers, the vehicle of the Solitary Buddhas, and the Great Vehicle. Those women, the Tathagata sees with the Buddha's eye, those women, the Tathagata praises, those women, the Tathagata extols. Those sons of good family and daughters of good family, in all the countless realms of the ten directions, the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas who dwell, live, and exist, also see with the Buddha's eye, and praise and extol those sons of good family and daughters of good family, and highly praise them. Shariputra asked: World Honored One, in the later times, in the later periods, will this profound Prajnaparamita flourish in the north? The World Honored One replied: Shariputra, it is so. It is so.
