Because of no arising and no ceasing, no complete defilement and no complete purification, the Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure. Subhuti, all phenomena are extremely pure, without object, without arising, without ceasing, without complete defilement and without complete purification, therefore the Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, how is it that all phenomena are extremely pure, without object, without arising, without ceasing, without complete defilement and without complete purification, that the Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, because all phenomena are extremely pure, the Perfection of Wisdom is completely pure. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, any son of good family or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, fully understands, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom will not have eye diseases, nor will they have ear diseases, nose diseases, tongue diseases, or body diseases, nor will they have mental diseases, their limbs will not be incomplete, and their bodies will not be tired. That son of good family or daughter of good family will not die with bad habits. For this reason, thousands of gods who wish to hear the Dharma will also follow. The gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings and the gods between the retinue of the Pure Abodes will also follow in the same way. Wherever sons of good family or daughters of good family who speak the holy Dharma speak this Perfection of Wisdom on the eighth, fourteenth, and fifteenth days, many assemblies of gods will also gather there. The son of good family or daughter of good family who speaks this Perfection of Wisdom will generate much merit, and will generate immeasurable, countless, inconceivable, and unmeasurable merit.

梭！世尊开示说：善现，是这样的，是这样的。凡是种姓之子或种姓之女，在初八、十四、十五这些日子里，于天众之前宣说般若波罗蜜多，那将产生不可估量、无数、不可思议、不可测量、不可言说的福德。那是什么缘故呢？善现，例如，这般若波罗蜜多是珍宝的缘故。善现，因此依靠这般若波罗蜜多珍宝，众生将从地狱中解脱，将从畜生道中解脱，将从阎罗王的世间中解脱，将从贫困的人中解脱，将投生于刹帝利种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，将投生于婆罗门种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，将投生于居士种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，将投生于四大天王眷属的天众中，将投生于直至非想非非想处之间的天众中。这般若波罗蜜多，能产生入流果，一来果，不来果，阿罗汉果，独觉菩提，以及无上正等觉菩提。那是什么缘故呢？例如，从这般若波罗蜜多中，广为开示了十善业道，依靠它，便有刹帝利种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，有婆罗门种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，有居士种姓如大娑罗树般的人家，有四大天王眷属的天众，有三十三天，有离诤天，有兜率天，有乐变化天，有他化自在天的天众，有梵众天，有梵辅天，有少光天，有无量光天，有极光净天，有少净天，有无量净天，有遍净天，有广果天，有无想

So! The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Any son or daughter of good family who, on the eighth, fourteenth, and fifteenth days of the month, speaks of the Perfection of Wisdom before the assembly of gods, will generate immeasurable, countless, inconceivable, unmeasurable, and inexpressible merit. Why is that? Subhuti, it is like this: this Perfection of Wisdom is a jewel. Subhuti, by relying on this jewel of the Perfection of Wisdom, beings will be liberated from hell, will be liberated from the realm of animals, will be liberated from the world of Yama, will be liberated from poor people, will be born into families of the kshatriya caste like great sala trees, will be born into families of the brahmin caste like great sala trees, will be born into families of householders like great sala trees, will be born into the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, will be born into the gods up to the Sphere of Neither Perception Nor Non-Perception. This Perfection of Wisdom produces the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, arhatship itself, self-enlightenment, and unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. Why is that? It is like this: from this Perfection of Wisdom, the paths of action of the ten virtues are extensively taught, and relying on that, there are families of the kshatriya caste like great sala trees, there are families of the brahmin caste like great sala trees, there are families of householders like great sala trees, there are gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, there are the Thirty-three, there are the Strife-free, there are the Joyful, there are the Enjoying Emanations, there are the gods who control the Emanations of Others, there are the ministers of Brahma, there are the retinue of Brahma, there are the Minor Light, there are the Immeasurable Light, there are the Clear Light, there are the Minor Virtue, there are the Immeasurable Virtue, there are the Increasing Virtue, there are the Great Fruit, there are the Non-perception
