Passed away. For what reason do I have no self-nature, and form has no self-nature and is extremely pure? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of emptiness that transcends boundaries, and because of emptiness that has no beginning and no end. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, because I have no self-nature, are feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness also without self-nature? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of extreme purity. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, for what reason do I have no self-nature, and feelings, perceptions, formations, and consciousness also have no self-nature and are extremely pure? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of emptiness that transcends boundaries, and because of emptiness that has no beginning and no end. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, what is the meaning of such realization? It is the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of extreme purity. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, for what reason is the meaning of such realization the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because it is the knowledge of the aspects of the path. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas does not fixate on this shore, the other shore, or even the absence of both. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of extreme purity. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, for what reason does the Prajnaparamita of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas not fixate on this shore, the other shore, or even the absence of both? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of the equality of the three times. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, if a son or daughter of a Mahayana lineage is unskilled in means and conceptualizes this Prajnaparamita in this way, then that

accumulates the perfection of wisdom. The perfection of wisdom is far away. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, well done! Well done! Subhuti, it is so, it is so. It also becomes a name, it also becomes a sign. Subhuti, all dharmas are without signs, without names. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, how does it become a name? How does it become a sign? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, here, a son or daughter of good family of the Great Vehicle also grasps the perfection of wisdom as a name, and also grasps it as a sign. Having grasped it as a name and a sign, they become arrogant towards the perfection of wisdom. Because they become arrogant towards the perfection of wisdom, they abandon the perfection of wisdom and go far away. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, in this way, for the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, this perfection of wisdom, and these attachments and non-attachments are well explained and extremely ultimate, it is wonderful! Then, the venerable Shariputra said to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, what is the attachment of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas to the perfection of wisdom? What is the non-attachment? Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, here, a son or daughter of good family of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, unskilled in means, if they perceive form as emptiness, that is attachment. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, if they perceive them as emptiness, that is attachment. It is the same for the realms, the sources, and dependent origination. If they perceive the perfection of generosity as emptiness, that is attachment. Similarly, if they perceive discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and the perfection of wisdom as emptiness, that is attachment. Similarly, if they perceive the four mindfulnesses as emptiness, that is attachment. Similarly, the right abandonments
