Now, in this way, because he does not truly see emptiness in what should be studied, nor does he truly see the nature of non-things up to emptiness. He does not study the mindfulnesses either. He does not study the right abandonments, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, the eightfold noble path, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate correct knowledges, and even the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. He does not study the fruit of stream-entry, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, Arhatship, or solitary Buddhahood. He does not study up to the all-knowingness either. Why is that? In this way, because he does not truly see what should be studied, up to all-knowingness. Then the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said this to the venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, why does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva not truly see form, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness? Similarly, he does not truly see the realms, the sources, dependent origination, the perfections, all emptinesses, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment? Why does he not truly see the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate correct knowledges, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and even up to all-knowingness? Subhuti said: Kausika, in this way, form is empty of form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are empty of consciousness. Similarly, the realms, the sources, dependent origination, the perfections, all emptinesses, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment are empty of the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment. That which is learning towards the all-knowingness itself is learning towards the immeasurable and countless Dharmas of the Buddha. Whoever learns the immeasurable and countless Dharmas of the Buddha does not learn for the sake of increasing or decreasing form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. Likewise, the elements and sources are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. Dependent arising is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. The perfection of generosity is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. The perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. The mindfulnesses are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. Likewise, the right abandonments, the bases of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the limbs of enlightenment, and the path are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. Inner emptiness is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. The emptiness of the nature of non-things, up to the interval, is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. The ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the separate correct knowledges, the unmixed Dharmas of the Buddha, and the all-knowingness itself are not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing. Whatever is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing form, and whatever is not learned for the sake of increasing or decreasing up to the all-knowingness itself, that is not learned for the sake of grasping or eliminating form. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are not learned for the sake of grasping or eliminating. Likewise, up to the all-knowingness itself, it is not learned for the sake of grasping or eliminating. Noble Wisdom
