Consciousness and, formations and, consciousness, etc., up to the Dharma of the Buddha, whatever is called the thoroughly imputed form. This is the thoroughly imputed feeling, the thoroughly imputed perception, the thoroughly imputed formation. From the thoroughly imputed consciousness to the thoroughly imputed Dharma of the Buddha. Whether the Tathāgatas appear or not, these realms of the nature of reality and the abiding nature of the Dharma are indeed abiding. By whatever is the imputed form, that thoroughly imputed form is permanent and constant, at the time of permanence and constancy, it is without essence and without self of phenomena, and suchness and, whatever is the ultimate limit, this is the form of the nature of reality. This is the feeling of the nature of reality and, perception and, formation and, consciousness, etc., up to these are called the Dharma of the Buddha of the nature of reality. After saying this, Bodhisattva Maitreya said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, among these three forms, which form should be viewed as without substance? Which is substance? Which is neither substance nor non-substance? It is distinguished by ultimate truth. Blessed One, these three feelings and, these three perceptions and, these three formations and, these three consciousnesses, etc., up to these three Dharmas of the Buddha, which Dharma of the Buddha should be viewed as without substance? Which should be viewed as substance? Which should be viewed as neither substance nor non-substance? It should be viewed as distinguished by ultimate truth. After saying this, the Blessed One said to Bodhisattva Maitreya: Maitreya, whatever is the thoroughly imputed form, it should be viewed as without substance. Whatever is the discriminated form, because discrimination is substantial, it should be viewed as substantial, but it is not autonomous. Whatever is the form of the nature of reality, it is neither non-substantial nor substantial, it should be viewed as distinguished by ultimate truth. Whatever is the thoroughly imputed feeling and, perception and, formation and, consciousness, up to the thoroughly imputed Buddha.

Until any such dharma, these should be regarded as non-substantial. From the discriminated feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to any discriminated Buddha-dharma, since the discrimination is substantial, it should be regarded as substantial, but not independent. Maitreya, any suchness of feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to any suchness of Buddha-dharma, those are neither non-substantial nor substantial, they should be regarded as distinguished by the ultimate truth. After thus speaking, Bodhisattva Maitreya said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, Blessed One, you consider form and what is to be known as non-dual, thus feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to the Buddha-dharma, those are considered non-dual. Thus you distinguish form, feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to the Buddha-dharma, you make distinctions, Blessed One, what do you intend by considering form and what is to be known as non-dual? Thus feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to the Buddha-dharma, is taught as non-dual? After thus reporting, the Blessed One said to Bodhisattva Maitreya: Maitreya, what do you think? The imputed form that is non-substantial, is that form? Or is it not form? Reported: Blessed One, it is not. Any name, concept, designation, and mere term of form to be known, is that form? Reported: Blessed One, it is not. Maitreya, you should also understand in that way. Any imputed form is neither form nor non-form. Anything that is neither form nor non-form is non-dual. I mean this, so it is said that form to be known is non-dual. Maitreya, what do you think? The discriminated form is substantial

Based on that, whatever becomes name, concept, designation, and term, what is that form? Answer: It is the Blessed Mother. Maitreya, what do you think? In the completely examined form, there is no self-nature of the completely examined form, nor is it its characteristic, what is that form? Answer: It is the Blessed Mother. Maitreya, you should also understand it this way through that scripture. Whatever is the examined form, it is neither form nor non-form. Whatever is neither form nor non-form, that is also non-dual. Considering that point, I said that form, this knowable, is considered non-dual. Maitreya, what do you think? The form of Dharma-nature, the completely distinguished nature of formlessness, what is that form? Answer: It is the Blessed Mother. The form of Dharma-nature, what is its Dharma-nature of form, what is that form? Answer: It is the Blessed Mother. Maitreya, you should also understand it this way through that scripture. Whatever is the form of Dharma-nature, it is neither form nor non-form. Whatever is neither form nor non-form, that is non-dual. Considering that point, I said that form is considered non-dual. Similarly, feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to the Dharma of the Buddha, should be applied in this way. After saying this, Bodhisattva Maitreya said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, a Bodhisattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, like this, is skilled in the characteristic of the non-duality of form, feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to the Dharma of the Buddha, is like this, skilled in the characteristic of non-duality, abandoning the two extremes and entering the Middle Way, how can one fully understand the characteristic, how can one abandon the characteristic, how can one manifest the characteristic, how can one cultivate the characteristic? After asking this, the Blessed One said to Bodhisattva Maitreya: Maitreya, practicing the Perfection of Wisdom
