And, it will shake, extremely shake, completely shake, tremble, extremely tremble, completely tremble, so that all the realms of the three-thousand great thousand worlds will be filled with great light. The sound of the Thus-Gone One, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, wherever it arises and its sound resounds, whatever beings in the three-thousand great thousand world hear that sound, all of them will definitely turn towards the three vehicles. Subhuti, thus possessing great benefit is the perfection of diligence of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Abiding in the perfection of diligence, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should perfect all the Buddha-dharmas, should attain perfect omniscience. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he abides in the five aggregates of grasping as being like a dream, like an echo, like a mirage, like an illusion, like a heat haze, like a magical creation, and he perfects the perfection of concentration. Subhuti, this Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells having closely cultivated the first dhyana, dwells having closely cultivated the second dhyana, the third dhyana, and the fourth dhyana. He dwells having closely cultivated loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. He dwells having closely cultivated the sphere of infinite space, the sphere of infinite consciousness, the sphere of nothingness, and the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception. He meditates on emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness samadhi, he meditates on lightning-like samadhi, he meditates on correct concentration, he abides in vajra-like samadhi. Apart from the Thus-Gone One's samadhi, whatever samadhis are associated with Hearers, common ones, or Solitary Buddhas, and whatever other collections of samadhis and attainments,

All those samadhis are pervaded by the body and dwell closely, yet they do not taste the flavor of the fruit of entering into those samadhis. Why is that? It is because the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva knows those samadhis as being without characteristics and without substance. How could one taste the flavor of the characteristicless dharma with the characteristicless dharma? And how could one taste the flavor of the unsubstantial dharma with the unsubstantial dharma? Because there is no tasting of flavor, one will not be born in the form realm or the formless realm by the power of any samadhi. Why is that? It is because they do not fixate on those two realms, nor do they fixate on who enters into samadhi and by what means they enter into samadhi. Because they do not fixate, they perfect the paramita by means of the characteristicless samadhi. By that samadhi paramita, they completely transcend the stages of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva perfect the samadhi paramita and completely transcend the stages of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas?" The Bhagavan replied: "Subhuti, it is like this: because a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva diligently trains in inner emptiness, and diligently trains in outer emptiness, inner-outer emptiness, and emptiness of the nature of unsubstantiality. In these emptinesses, they do not fixate on the fruit of stream-enterer, nor on the fruit of once-returner, nor on the fruit of non-returner, nor on the state of Arhat, nor on Solitary Enlightenment, nor on any such dharma to be dwelt in. That which is called 'all-knowingness' is also empty of those emptinesses. By those emptinesses, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva greatly transcends the stages of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and enters into the faultless state of a Bodhisattva." Asked: "Bhagavan, what is the fault of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva? And what is faultlessness?

Venerable, the Blessed One said, "Subhuti, all objects of focus are faults of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. All non-objects of focus are faultless." Asked, "Blessed One, what are objects of focus? Subhuti, feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness are the objects of focus of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Eye and form are the objects of focus of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva.
