The one named Ongpo also rightly rejoiced. The Blessed One said: Rabjor, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not fixate on inner emptiness as inner emptiness, he does not fixate on outer emptiness as outer emptiness, he does not fixate on inner and outer emptiness as inner and outer emptiness, he does not fixate on emptiness emptiness as emptiness emptiness, he does not fixate on great emptiness as great emptiness, he does not fixate on ultimate emptiness as ultimate emptiness, he does not fixate on conditioned emptiness as conditioned emptiness, he does not fixate on unconditioned emptiness as unconditioned emptiness, he does not fixate on emptiness beyond extremes as emptiness beyond extremes, he does not fixate on emptiness without beginning or end as emptiness without beginning or end, he does not fixate on emptiness without abandonment as emptiness without abandonment, he does not fixate on nature emptiness as nature emptiness, he does not fixate on all phenomena emptiness as all phenomena emptiness, he does not fixate on self-characteristic emptiness as self-characteristic emptiness. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in these fourteen emptinesses, and does not fixate on form as empty or not empty, does not fixate on feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness as empty or not empty, does not fixate on sources, elements, and dependent origination as empty or not empty, does not fixate on all perfections and the thirty-seven wings of enlightenment as empty or not empty, does not fixate on noble truths, meditations, immeasurables, formless absorptions, eight liberations, and nine successive abidings as empty or not empty, does not fixate on emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness as

I do not fixate on what is called "I" or what is called "non-empty." I do not fixate on what is called supernormal knowledge, meditative stabilization, and the doors of dharani as being empty or non-empty. I do not fixate on what is called the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a buddha as being empty or non-empty. I do not fixate on what is called emptiness or non-emptiness up to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. I do not fixate on what is called the realm of the conditioned as being empty or non-empty. I do not fixate on what is called the realm of the unconditioned as being empty or non-empty. When a bodhisattva mahasattva engages in this Perfection of Wisdom, whatever he or she gives as a gift—food, drink, a vehicle, clothing, flowers, garlands, incense, perfume, bedding, a dwelling, livelihood, utensils, or any human provision—he or she does not truly see that gift as being empty. He or she does not truly see the giver and the recipient as being empty or non-empty, because he or she has no miserly mind or grasping mind. Why is that? Because from the time a bodhisattva mahasattva generates the mind of enlightenment until he or she sits at the root of the bodhi tree, all those conceptualizations are absent. Just as the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, when he or she awakens to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, has no miserly mind or grasping mind, so too, a bodhisattva mahasattva who engages in the Perfection of Wisdom does not generate a miserly mind or a grasping mind. Therefore, this Perfection of Wisdom is the teacher of the bodhisattva mahasattva. Subhuti, therefore, a bodhisattva mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom and holds the Perfection of Giving.

The Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully upholds the Perfection of Morality. The Blessed One said: "Rabjor, here, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom and does not distinguish the opportunities of the Hearer's Ground and the Solitary Buddha's Ground. Why is that? Because he is like this, he does not fixate on the Hearer's Ground or the Solitary Buddha's Ground, nor does he fixate on that mind. From the moment he generates the first mind, until he sits at the Bodhi tree, I have also abandoned killing. Moreover, I also encourage the abandonment of killing. I speak of the virtues of abandoning killing. Whoever else has abandoned killing, I praise their virtues and rejoice with them. I have also abandoned taking what is not given, sexual misconduct, lying, slander, harsh speech, idle talk, covetousness, malice, and wrong views. Moreover, I also encourage the abandonment of wrong views. I speak of the virtues of abandoning wrong views. Whoever else has abandoned wrong views, I praise their virtues and rejoice with them. Because that morality does not become attached to any Dharma of the Hearers or Solitary Buddhas, what need is there to mention others? Rabjor, in this way, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully upholds the Perfection of Morality." Asked: "Blessed One, how does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the Perfection of Wisdom and fully uphold the Perfection of Patience?" The Blessed One said: "Rabjor, here, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Wisdom and generates conforming patience. He thinks like this: 'Here, there is no Dharma that arises, ceases, appears, perishes, binds, scolds, deceives, cuts, fells, or strikes.' Therefore, from the moment he generates the first mind, until he sits at the Bodhi tree, if the mind...
