Venerable Shariputra, I do not desire the arising of unarisen form, which is empty of its own nature. Venerable Shariputra, I do not desire the arising of unarisen feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, which are empty of their own nature. Venerable Shariputra, I do not desire the arising of unarisen sources, realms, dependent origination, perfections, all emptiness, factors of enlightenment, noble truths, meditations, immeasurables, formless absorptions, liberations, gradual abidings, doors to liberation—emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness—superknowledges, samadhis, dharani gateways, powers of the Tathagata, fearlessnesses, separate correct knowledges, and unshared qualities of the Buddha, which are empty of their own nature. Venerable Shariputra, I do not desire the arising of unarisen all-knowingness, which is empty of its own nature. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you not desire to arise? The Blessed One said: Venerable Shariputra, I do not desire the arising of arisen form, which is empty of its own nature.

Those who are fearless and those who have individual perfect knowledge, and the Buddha's unmixed dharmas, do not wish to be born as emptiness by nature. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, I, up to the all-knowingness, do not wish to be born as emptiness by nature. It is said: Venerable Subhuti, is birth born, or is birth not born? It is said: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, birth is not born, and non-birth is not born either. Why is that? Thus, Venerable Sharadvatiputra, whatever is birth and whatever is non-birth, those two dharmas are neither concordant nor discordant, formless, invisible, unimpeded, thus, no characteristic is one characteristic. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, therefore, birth is not born, and non-birth is not born either. Sharadvatiputra said: Venerable Subhuti, if you dare to say that the unborn dharma is the unborn dharma, then, will you also dare to speak of the non-birth of the unborn? Subhuti said: Venerable Sharadvatiputra, I dare to say that the unborn dharma is the unborn dharma. Saying so, Venerable Sharadvatiputra, I have no courage to say that the unborn dharma is the unborn dharma. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, I also have no courage to speak of the non-birth of the unborn dharmas, why is that? Venerable Sharadvatiputra, thus, whatever is the unborn dharma, whatever is non-birth, whatever is courage, whatever is speech, whatever is non-birth, all those dharmas are neither concordant nor discordant, formless, invisible, unimpeded, thus, no characteristic is one characteristic. It is said: Venerable Subhuti, speech is called non-birth, courage is also non-birth, and dharma is also non-birth, then, are those dharmas that start from what and dare to speak also non-birth? Subhuti said: Venerable.
