The six internal sense bases and the six external sense bases, these are called internal and external dharmas. Therefore, because of impermanence and non-destruction, internal dharmas are empty of external dharmas. Why is that? Because that is its nature. External dharmas are empty of internal dharmas. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called emptiness of internal and external. What is emptiness of emptiness? Because of impermanence and non-destruction, the emptiness of dharmas, emptiness is empty by that emptiness. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called emptiness of emptiness. What is great emptiness? Because of impermanence and non-destruction, the east is empty of the east, the south is empty of the south, the west is empty of the west, the north is empty of the north, the below is empty of the below, the above is empty of the above, the intermediate directions are empty of the intermediate directions. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called great emptiness. What is ultimate emptiness? The ultimate is Nirvana, because of impermanence and non-destruction, Nirvana is also empty of Nirvana. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called ultimate emptiness. What is conditioned emptiness? Conditioned is called the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. Therefore, because of impermanence and non-destruction, the desire realm is empty of the desire realm, the form realm is empty of the form realm, the formless realm is empty of the formless realm. Why is that? Because that is its nature. This is called conditioned emptiness. What is unconditioned emptiness? Unconditioned is called that which has no birth, no cessation, and no change from abiding, this is called unconditioned. Therefore, because of impermanence and non-destruction, unconditioned is empty of unconditioned. Why

Why is that? Because its own nature is such. This is called the unconditioned emptiness. What is the emptiness that transcends limits? That which does not fixate on limits is that which transcends limits, because it is impermanent and does not perish. The emptiness that transcends limits is empty by that which transcends limits. Why is that? Because its own nature is such. This is called the emptiness that transcends limits. What is the emptiness without beginning or end? That which does not fixate on a beginning, nor does it fixate on an end, for it does not fixate on going, nor does it fixate on coming, because it is impermanent and does not perish. The emptiness without beginning or end is empty by that which has no beginning or end. Why is that? Because its own nature is such. This is called the emptiness without beginning or end. What is the emptiness without abandonment? That for which there is nothing to abandon, because it is impermanent and does not perish. The emptiness without abandonment is empty by that which has no abandonment. Why is that? Because its own nature is such. This is called the emptiness without abandonment. What is the emptiness of own nature? Whether conditioned or unconditioned, whatever is the own nature of all phenomena, that is not made by the Hearers, not made by the Solitary Buddhas, not made by the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, not made by the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, because it is impermanent and does not perish, therefore own nature is empty by own nature. Why is that? Because its own nature is such. This is called the emptiness of own nature. What is the emptiness of all phenomena? The so-called all phenomena are form, feeling, perception, formation, consciousness, as well as eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, as well as form, sound, smell, taste, touch, phenomena, as well as eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, mind consciousness, as well as eye contact, ear contact, nose contact, tongue contact, body contact, mind
