The Great Vehicle of Napa. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not cause consciousness to enter the desire realm. It also does not cause consciousness to enter the form and formless realms, but it is not that it does not know the desire, form, and formless realms. Son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, this too, by way of non-apprehension, is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. Furthermore, son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva also does not cause consciousness to enter mundane and supramundane dharmas. Although it also does not cause consciousness to enter defiled and undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas, it is not that it does not know mundane and supramundane dharmas, and it is not that it does not know defiled and undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. Son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, this too, by way of non-apprehension, is the Great Vehicle of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva. It was said: Venerable Gangpo, by what measure is it said that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in the Great Vehicle? Gangpo said: Son of Sharadvati, the venerable one, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva engages in the Perfection of Wisdom, even though he truly abides in the Perfection of Giving, he does not apprehend giving, nor does he apprehend the Perfection of Giving, nor does he apprehend the Bodhisattva, nor does he apprehend the receiver, nor does he apprehend those mental activities. Thus, it is said that a Bodhisattva Mahasattva truly abides in the Perfection of Giving by way of non-apprehension. When engaging in the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom, even though he truly abides in the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not apprehend virtuous dharmas, non-virtuous dharmas, mundane dharmas, supramundane dharmas, conditioned dharmas, unconditioned dharmas, defiled dharmas, etc.

For the purpose of contemplating "Ma Pa," contemplate the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, in a way that does not focus on them. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, in this way, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is said to abide correctly in the Great Vehicle. Venerable Sharadvatiputra, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should know that, because a Bodhisattva is without object of focus, therefore, what is called a Bodhisattva is merely a designation. Because form is without object of focus, therefore, what is called form is merely a name. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are without object of focus, therefore, what is called consciousness is merely a name. The eye is without object of focus, therefore, what is called the eye is merely a name. Similarly, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are without object of focus, therefore, what is called the mind is merely a name. The sense bases, elements, and dependent origination are without object of focus, therefore, what is called dependent origination is merely a name. The perfection of giving is without object of focus, therefore, what is called the perfection of giving is merely a name. The perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom are without object of focus, therefore, what is called the perfection of wisdom is merely a name. Inner emptiness is without object of focus, therefore, what is called inner emptiness is merely a name. Outer emptiness is without object of focus, therefore, what is called outer emptiness is merely a name. Inner and outer emptiness is without object of focus, therefore, what is called inner and outer emptiness is merely a name. The emptiness of the nature of non-things is without object of focus, therefore, what is called the emptiness of the nature of non-things is merely a name. The dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment are without object of focus, therefore,
