Earth Brave Great Being Having understood that great loving-kindness is empty of inherent existence, one attains manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If great compassion were not empty of inherent existence, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva would not attain manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, because great compassion is empty of inherent existence, therefore the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having understood that great compassion is empty of inherent existence, attains manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If the eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha were not empty of inherent existence, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva would not attain manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, because the unmixed qualities of the Buddha are empty of inherent existence, therefore the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, having understood that the unmixed qualities of the Buddha are empty of inherent existence, attains manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. If the fruit of stream-enterer were not empty of inherent existence, then the Bodhisattva Mahasattva would not attain manifest and complete enlightenment in unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.
