Thus, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajna Paramita, they perfect the Paramita of signless diligence. That mind's diligence is without outflows, becomes a limb of the path, is included within the scope of the path, and within the Paramita of diligence, all virtuous dharmas are like this: the four mindfulnesses, the four correct abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the noble eightfold path, the three doors of liberation, the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine sequential abidings, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are completely gathered and completely perfected. By practicing this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva perfects the all-knowingness. By perfecting this, all connections of habitual tendencies are abandoned. Having abandoned all connections of habitual tendencies, they perfect the complete possession of excellent marks. Having attained universal illumination, the twelve wheels of Dharma are turned in three successions. By turning them, the three-thousand great-thousand world realm shakes in six ways, extremely shakes, universally shakes, quakes, extremely quakes, universally quakes, sways, extremely sways, and universally sways. The entirety of the three-thousand great-thousand world realm is also filled and pervaded with great light. The voice of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha, wherever it arises and its sound resounds, all sentient beings in the three-thousand great-thousand world realm who hear that sound will definitely enter the three vehicles. Subhuti, such a one who possesses great benefit is a Bo.

The bodhisattva mahasattva's perfection of diligence, abiding in the perfection of diligence. The bodhisattva mahasattva should perfect all the Buddha's teachings and attain all-knowingness. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a bodhisattva mahasattva practices the perfection of wisdom, he abides in the five aggregates of grasping as being like a dream, like an echo, like a mirage, like an illusion, like a city of gandharvas, like the moon in water, and like a magical creation, and he perfects the perfection of concentration. Subhuti, how does a bodhisattva mahasattva, when practicing the perfection of wisdom, abide in the five aggregates of grasping as being like a dream, like an echo, like a mirage, like an illusion, like a city of gandharvas, like the moon in water, and like a magical creation, and perfect the perfection of concentration? Subhuti, in this case, the bodhisattva mahasattva dwells having cultivated the first dhyana, dwells having cultivated the second dhyana, dwells having cultivated the third dhyana, dwells having cultivated the fourth dhyana, dwells having cultivated loving-kindness, dwells having cultivated great compassion, dwells having cultivated joy, dwells having cultivated equanimity, dwells having cultivated the sphere of infinite space, dwells having cultivated the sphere of infinite consciousness, dwells having cultivated the sphere of nothingness, dwells having cultivated the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, cultivates the samadhi of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, cultivates the samadhi of non-contention, cultivates the samadhi of correctness, abides in the vajra-like samadhi, and apart from the samadhi of the Tathagata, is not in common with the shravakas or pratyekabuddhas.

All such samādhis, and all other collections of samādhis and attainments, are pervaded by the body, and having approached, abide, but do not taste the flavor of the fruit of those samādhis and attainments. Why is that? It is because the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva knows the nature of those samādhis to be without characteristics and without substance. Therefore, how could the dharma without characteristics taste the flavor of the dharma without characteristics? And how could the dharma without substance taste the flavor of the dharma without substance? Because there is no tasting of flavor, therefore, by the power of any samādhi, one will not be born in the form realm or the formless realm. Why is that? It is because they do not fixate on those two realms, nor do they fixate on who enters into attainment, or by what means they enter into attainment. Because they do not fixate, they perfect the pāramitā of samādhi without characteristics. By that pāramitā of samādhi, they completely transcend the grounds of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Subhūti asked: "Lord, how does the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva perfect the pāramitā of samādhi, and completely transcend the grounds of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas?" The Lord replied: "Subhūti, it is like this: the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva intensely trains in inner emptiness, intensely trains in outer emptiness, intensely trains in inner-outer emptiness, intensely trains in emptiness-emptiness, intensely trains in great emptiness, intensely trains in ultimate emptiness, intensely trains in conditioned emptiness, intensely trains in unconditioned emptiness, intensely trains in emptiness beyond extremes, intensely trains in emptiness without beginning or end, intensely trains in emptiness without abandonment, intensely trains in self-nature emptiness, and intensely trains in the emptiness of all dharmas."
