Suchness is thus. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should train in this. The question: "Lord, what is the suchness of the Thusness of the All-Knowing One?" The Lord said: "Suchness in which birth is not seen, cessation is not seen, change from abiding is not seen, this is the suchness of the All-Knowing One. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas should train in this. If one knows the ultimate reality, one will know the essence and elaboration of all dharmas." The question: "Lord, what is the ultimate reality?" The Lord said: "The limitless is the ultimate reality. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who train in these limits will know the essence and elaboration of all dharmas. If one knows the element of dharma, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas will know the essence and elaboration of all dharmas." The Hundred Thousand Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom, Chapter Eight. The question: "Lord, what is the element of dharma?" The Lord said: "The elementless is the element of dharma. In that element of dharma, cessation and complete cessation are not seen. Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who know the element of dharma in this way will know the essence and elaboration of all dharmas." The question: "Lord, how should one seek the essence and elaboration of all dharmas?" The Lord said: "In any case, one should know that all dharmas are neither possessed nor not possessed." The question: "Lord, what are those dharmas that are neither possessed nor not possessed?" The Lord said: "Form is neither possessed nor not possessed. Feeling is neither possessed nor not possessed. Perception is neither possessed nor not possessed. Formation is neither possessed nor not possessed. Consciousness is neither possessed nor not possessed. The eye is neither possessed nor not possessed. The ear is neither possessed nor not possessed. The nose is neither possessed nor not possessed. The tongue is neither possessed nor not possessed."
