It is solitary. Sons of the gods, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, when all dharmas are declared to be solitary, does not become disheartened, does not completely shrink back, and his mind does not become frightened, then that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, why does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva not shrink back from the Perfection of Wisdom? He replied: Blessed One, because all dharmas do not exist, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not shrink back from the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, because all dharmas are solitary, peaceful, and unborn, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not shrink back from the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, for that reason, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not shrink back from the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Even the gods of the Tsangma class will pay homage to that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Subhuti, in the ten directions, as many Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas as there are, who abide and protect, they too will pay attention to that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom. That Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom perfects the Perfection of Giving, perfects the Perfection of Morality, perfects the Perfection of Patience, perfects the Perfection of Diligence, perfects the Perfection of Meditation, perfects the Perfection of Wisdom, perfects inner emptiness, perfects outer emptiness, perfects inner-outer emptiness, perfects emptiness of emptiness, perfects great emptiness, perfects ultimate emptiness, perfects conditioned emptiness, perfects unconditioned emptiness, perfects emptiness transcending extremes, perfects emptiness without beginning or end, perfects emptiness without abandonment, perfects self-nature emptiness, perfects emptiness of all dharmas, perfects emptiness of self-character, perfects emptiness of non-apprehension, perfects emptiness of non-entity, perfects emptiness of own-being, perfects emptiness of non-entity own-being, perfects the four mindfulnesses, perfects the four right abandonments.
