Should abide. As it is said in the Perfection of Wisdom, I shall learn. As it is said in the Perfection of Wisdom, I shall practice. Thus, if one thinks, measures, and distinguishes this profound place corresponding to the Perfection of Wisdom, then, Subhuti! The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices as it is said in the Perfection of Wisdom, thinks in that way, distinguishes in that way, strives in that way, makes effort in that way, and endeavors as it is shown in the Perfection of Wisdom, even with a single thought of enlightenment, he will completely grasp countless, immeasurable, and incalculable roots of virtue. If he abandons samsara for immeasurable eons, what more need be said of one who practices without mixing with the Perfection of Wisdom and abides with the intention of enlightenment? Subhuti! For example, a man with lustful behavior and discrimination desires to obtain a woman who is beautiful, lovely, and pleasing to the eye, but that woman is already possessed by another and cannot come out of her house. Subhuti! What do you think? What kind of discrimination will that man have? He replied: World Honored One! That man's discrimination will be related to that woman, and he will think: That woman is like this, I should go and meet her, and play with her. The World Honored One said: Subhuti! What do you think? How much discrimination will that man have as the days and nights pass? He replied: World Honored One! That will be very much. Sugata! That will be very much, that man's discrimination will become very much as the days and nights pass. The World Honored One said: Subhuti! As much discrimination as that man has as the days and nights pass, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva will abandon samsara and turn away from samsara for that many eons. Whoever, as it is shown in this profound Perfection of Wisdom
