Furthermore, when seeing a wolf, fox, or dog, or various other animals eating it, one should associate the condition of this body with that, thinking, 'This body also has such a nature, such a self-nature, and does not transcend such a nature.' Subhuti, in that way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he observes the body by not fixating on the external body, with diligence, possessing mindfulness and awareness, abandoning worldly attachment and displeasure, and thus acts. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, when seeing a corpse abandoned in a charnel ground being eaten in various ways, impure, decayed, and swollen, one should associate the condition of this body with that, thinking, 'This body also has such a nature, such a self-nature, and does not transcend such a nature.' Subhuti, in that way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he observes the body by not fixating on the external body, with diligence, possessing mindfulness and awareness, abandoning worldly attachment and displeasure, and thus acts. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, when seeing bones in a charnel ground, a skeleton with flesh and blood gone, blood gone, only a skeleton remaining, with tendons crisscrossing, one should associate the condition of this body with that, thinking, 'This body also has such a nature, such a self-nature, and does not transcend such a nature.' Subhuti, in that way, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he observes the body by not fixating on the external body, with diligence, possessing mindfulness and awareness, abandoning worldly attachment and displeasure, and thus acts.
