and viewing the turning of the wheel of Dharma, and viewing complete extinction. For this, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, with skillful means, in order to abandon those aspects of viewing, he teaches the Dharma in a way that is without focus. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Venerable One, for what reason is a Bodhisattva Mahasattva called so?" The Blessed One replied: "Subhuti, you should generate joy." Subhuti asked: "Venerable One, the mind of Bodhi is unequal and equal, and there is no attachment to such a mind that is not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Therefore, it is called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva." What is the reason for this? Because the mind of all-knowingness is without outflows and is not included within. Thus, the mind of all-knowingness is without outflows and is not included within the three realms, and there is no attachment to such a mind because of its emptiness of self-nature. Therefore, it is counted among the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas. Then, the venerable Saradvatiputra said to the venerable Subhuti: "Venerable Subhuti, what is the unequal and equal mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, which is not common to all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas?" Subhuti said: "Venerable Saradvatiputra, for this, from the time a Bodhisattva Mahasattva first generates the mind, he does not truly see the arising of any Dharma, nor does he truly see cessation, increase, decrease, coming, going, affliction, or purification. Venerable Saradvatiputra, for that which has no arising and no cessation, no increase and no decrease, no coming and no going, no affliction and no purification, there is no mind of a Shravaka, no mind of a Pratyekabuddha."
