So it was placed there. Those monks, feeling remorse, the Blessed One declared: There is no fault. The monk broke the swallow's nest and took the eggs, and that swallow made a sound and spread out in that way. Many monks were staying in a monastery, and some mice came out of their holes and stole goods and food, and then returned to their holes. They thought to themselves: Who is stealing our things? The monks, having finished their alms round, were sitting in the shade, and the mouse also came out of its hole, took food, and returned to its hole in the same way. Those monks thought to themselves: This is the one who is stealing from us. They caught it and showed it to the monks, saying: This is the one who is stealing from us. Those monks said: You have committed a Pārājika offense. Because you took what belonged to the mouse without permission. Those monks, feeling remorse, the Blessed One declared: There is no fault, take what belongs to the monks. What belongs to the mouse should not be taken. The mouse brought food and drink and placed it under the mattress of a monk. That monk, in the morning, first ate a wooden toothbrush, washed his face, and then accepted the offering, and ate those things. The monks said: Venerable, you always wash your hands and feet well, but you do not enter the village for alms, why is that? He said: The mouse brought food and drink and placed it under the mattress, and I first accepted the offering and then ate it. The monks said: Venerable, you have committed a Pārājika offense. For what reason? Because you took the mouse's food and drink without permission. After that happened, the monks reported it to the Blessed One. The Blessed One declared: That monk was the father of that mouse in a previous life. Because it loved its father, it brought food to that monk, there is no fault. A deer, chased by a hunter, came to the monastery,

Those hunters said, "Give us back our prey, it was chased into the temple." When they didn't get the prey, they abandoned it. Those monks felt remorse. The Blessed One taught, "There is no offense. The prey shot by the hunter's arrow should also be expanded in the same way." A hunter's prey was shot with a poisoned arrow and came to the temple. Those hunters said, "This prey of ours has been shot with a poisoned arrow, it will die and not be eaten by ghosts, give it back to us." Those monks did not give it back, and they abandoned it. After that, that prey also died, and those monks didn't know what to do. The Blessed One taught, "Give it back to those hunters. If a monk cuts down trees to harm hunters, he will commit a grave offense. If he cuts them down out of compassion, he will commit a minor offense. Similarly, if he cuts down a bird net to harm it, he will commit a grave offense. If he cuts it down considering compassion, he will commit a minor offense. If a monk cuts down a bird cage to harm it, he will commit a grave offense. If he cuts it down considering compassion, he will commit a minor offense. The bird's nest is also the same. In short, cloth merchants and markets, sour porridge and noodles, goods and items, monastic robes, etc. A monk took a piece of cloth from a drunken cloth merchant and left. The cloth merchant saw it and said to him, "Don't steal the cloth, show it, and then bring it." That monk felt remorse. The Blessed One taught, "There is no Parajika offense, but a grave offense will be committed." A monk borrowed a lot of money from the market. When he was chased for the debt, he thought, "I won't give it to him." He felt remorse. The Blessed One taught, "There is no Parajika offense, but a grave offense will be committed." A monk was sick, and he believed in sour porridge and noodles, he thought, "Make sour porridge and noodles, and also offer them to the Sangha, and I will also eat them."

Therefore, he requested the sick attendants to also ask the Sangha. He said, "Also give me three portions of food and soup." After saying this, he gave them payment, and they thought, "What do we need three portions of food and soup for ourselves? It is better to give three portions of food and soup to this one person, and then divide the payment." Thinking this, they gave him three portions of food and soup, and then divided the payment. Those monks felt regret. The Blessed One taught, "There is no defeat offense, but a grave offense will be committed." There was a sick monk who had many possessions, and he thought, "These things will be divided by the Sangha after I die." So, he said to the sick attendants, "O you who have life, give me a dish of lentils." They made a dish of lentils for him and gave it to him. Those sick attendants became busy, and he mixed the possessions and the dish of lentils together and drank it. Because the food was too heavy, he passed away, and those monks gathered and threw him into the cemetery. After they threw him away, they said to the sick attendants, "Divide the many possessions of that monk and bring them here." The monks searched but could not find them, and they got up from their seats and dug. That monk was torn open by a wild animal, and his intestines were pulled out. After the intestines were pulled out, the possessions were scattered on the ground. A monk went to the cemetery to observe the corpse, and he saw those possessions, took them away, and offered them to the Sangha. That monk felt regret. The Blessed One taught, "There is no offense." There was a sick monk who had many wooden objects. He said to the sick attendants, "O you who have life, call the monks. I will offer to the Sangha, offer to the stupa, offer to other people." The sick attendants thought, "If we offer to the Sangha and the stupa, we will not get anything." Therefore, they did not call the monks. That monk also passed away, and they felt regret. The Blessed One taught, "There is no offense, the sick attendants should not go against the wishes of the sick person. Do as the sick person instructs."
