Bhikshu, if someone who has not taken full ordination starts within six years and is not fully ordained, what happens? He commits a misdeed. The seventh generation should also be widely propagated. In short, sending messages, letters, gestures, and what others say, one after another, becoming mad and mentally disturbed, sick, deaf, and foolish. Bhikshu, if a bhikshu allows a seat cushion to be made from a message within six years, what happens? He commits a misdeed. Similarly, letters, gestures, what others say, passing on from one to another, madmen, mentally disturbed, those afflicted by illness, fools, mutes, and the deaf, all of these become misdeeds. Just as if a bhikshu allows a seat cushion to be made within six years, it becomes an abandonment offense, similarly, giving training also becomes an abandonment offense. The bhikshu commits a misdeed. Shramaneras, shramanerikas, and shramanera fathers also commit misdeeds. In short, others not seizing others, householders, heretics, those who are unsuitable, and their names, the fourth and seventh are also like that. The venerable Upali asked the Buddha, the Bhagavan. Bhikshu, the Bhagavan said that if a bhikshu, in order to make a new seat cushion look bad, makes a garment without patching it with a span of the Sugata from an old garment, it becomes an abandonment offense. Bhikshu, if a bhikshu reduces one finger or half a finger from the Sugata's span, what happens? It becomes something to be abandoned. Bhikshu, if a bhikshu has someone else do it, what happens? He commits a misdeed. If he has it done for someone else, what happens? He commits a misdeed. If he makes what someone else has not done as done, what happens? He commits a misdeed. If he has a householder do it, what happens? He commits a misdeed. If he allows those who have given training, those who have quarreled before, those who have committed offenses before, and those who are thieves to do it, all of these become misdeeds.
