They said, "What could be the object of sin for this Brahmin's son?" As soon as he touched it, the great ship capsized and sank, and those merchants died. Due to the power of previous karma, he grabbed a plank of wood and was carried by the swift wind to the island of Lanka (Sri Lanka). He was in another garden there, where there was no one else, and he saw the Weeper, and he slept with her. During the day he enjoyed himself with the Swift One, and at night he enjoyed himself with King Brahma-giver. He said, "Good woman, where do you go at night?" She became intimate with him and told him everything. He said, "Good woman, take me to the world of Yama as well." She said, "The master will scold you. Tell me your name." He said, "Good woman, my name is Swift One." "Tell me your name." "Master, my name is Weeper." He began to practice the method with stones, and one day he picked up a small stone and rode on Bird-wing Good. The second day was two of the same stones. The third day was three of the same stones, and so on until he carried one as big as a person. Then he and the Swift One rode together on Bird-wing Good and came out of the cave. The Weeper said, "Master, do not open your eyes, misfortune will happen." He closed his eyes, and when he was near the world of Yama, he heard the noise of many people. He thought, "Now I will go and see." As soon as he opened his eyes, his eyes went blind and he became blind. The Weeper left him in the garden and went into the midst of King Brahma-giver's consorts. Later, when the spring season arrived, the trees blossomed. Swans, cranes, peacocks, parrots, mynah birds, cuckoos, and various birds were making sounds. King Brahma-giver, surrounded by his consorts, went into the garden with the Weeper. The Brahmin's son, the Swift One, smelled the fragrance of the timira flower and held it. He thought of singing such a song: "Who is blown by the wind? The timira's..."

Smelling the fragrance. Who dwells in Shoshumba? The islands of Kasheru. Having heard this, King Tsangjin commanded his consorts, 'Hey, go find who is singing here.' They said, 'A man deprived of divine sight is singing in this garden.' The king summoned him and said, 'Hey man, did you sing?' The lord of the gods sang. 'Hey man, sing again and listen again.' He thought, 'It's none other than the song I sang that sounds so pleasant.' Therefore, the king wants to listen. If I could get even a little something, he thought, and then he sang, 'Who is carried by the wind? Smelling the fragrance of timira. Who dwells in Shoshumba? The islands of Kasheru.' The king asked, 'Hey man, how far is it from this island of Kasheru?' He answered in verse, 'From here to there are a hundred yojanas, The waters of the great ocean. Shoshumba dwells there, On the islands of Kasheru.' Then King Tsangjin answered him in verse, 'That is my beloved, Named Shoshumba. If you have seen or heard anything bad about her, Also tell me if there are any marks on her body.' When the sun set, they went to another rocky village. They stayed in an empty temple there. That night, about five hundred barbarians came to the rocky village to destroy it.
