Where are those perfect armies? They said, 'This is the Wheel-Turning King who has come from another world to see the Blessed One.' When they saw the enjoyments of that Wheel-Turning King, they developed a desire and said, 'Alas! May we also accomplish such things.' They also opened the windows. At that time, the venerable Charka was sitting in that assembly, and he said, 'Friends, this is not a Wheel-Turning King, this is the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, who has come by means of miraculous powers to see the Blessed One.' They said, 'Venerable one, how do you know that this is the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna?' He said, 'Friends, because the scent of the lotus is very strong, this is the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, who has come to the Blessed One by means of miraculous powers.' Then, the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, having manifested miraculous powers, withdrew them again, and then went to where the Blessed One was, and bowed her head at the feet of the Blessed One, and then sat to one side. Then, the Blessed One said to the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, 'Bhikkhuni, go away, do not stand before me. It is not proper for a bhikkhuni to perform miracles in the presence of the Teacher.' Then, having been driven away by the Blessed One, she went to one side and sat down. The Blessed One thought, 'Whoever manifests miraculous powers in the presence of the Teacher, that is a fault J01,Vo11,Po91B.' Therefore, considering that a bhikkhuni should not manifest miraculous powers in the presence of the Teacher, he said to the bhikshus, 'Bhikshus, it is not proper for a bhikkhuni to manifest miraculous powers in the presence of the Teacher. Therefore, bhikkhunis should not manifest miraculous powers in the presence of the Teacher. If a bhikkhuni manifests them in the presence of the Teacher, she will be expelled.' Some of them, having seen the Wheel-Turning King's enjoyments of the bhikkhuni Utpalavarna, developed attachment to humans. Others, having seen the enjoyments of the gods' emanations, developed attachment to the gods. Then, the Blessed One prevented rebirth as gods and humans.

For that reason, such Dharma was preached to those retinues, and whoever heard it, some realized the fruit of stream-entry. Some realized the fruit of non-returning. Some realized the fruit of once-returning. Some, having abandoned all defilements, realized the state of an Arhat. Some developed the mind for the Bodhi of a Hearer. Some developed the mind for the Bodhi of a Solitary Buddha. Some developed the mind for the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete Bodhi. Some generated roots of virtue that turned into warmth. Some generated the peak. Some generated small and medium patience. Most of those retinues were arranged to incline towards the Buddha, to flow towards the Dharma, and to completely flow towards the Sangha. Then, for that reason, the Bhagavan spoke in verses: Having obtained the lands by one, And also going to the gods, Or better than obtaining Samadhi, Is the supreme fruit of stream-entry. Then, the Bhagavan truly showed those retinues with words of Dharma. He truly encouraged, truly praised, truly delighted, and rose from the seat and departed. When the monks had doubts, they asked the Bhagavan, the destroyer of all doubts, saying: Venerable One, the venerable Charaka perceives from the scent of the color of the lotus mother. The Bhagavan said: Monks, not only now, but in the past, Charaka also perceived from scent. Therefore, listen, monks, what happened in the past was that in the city of Jambudvipa there lived another merchant, who took a wife from the same lineage and enjoyed playing with her. While he was enjoying playing, the wife became pregnant. That merchant prepared to go to the great ocean with great goods, and he said to her: Good woman, I am taking goods and going to another country. Please be mindful of household affairs. She said: Master, if that is so, please take me along as well. He said: Good woman, who will serve you there? She sat crying, and the servants said to the merchant:

Why do you say the captain's wife is crying like this? He said, she also wants to go with me. I didn't take her, that's why she's crying and sitting. They said, why not take that captain? Who will serve him? The captain has no fault, take him away, and we will serve him. He took him away, and gradually from the depression entered the great salt sea. After they entered the great salt sea, the big boat was overturned by things like crocodiles, so they all died there. His wife grabbed a plank and was gradually blown by the wind to the island of Kāśeru. There lived the bird king Good Wings, and he took her as his wife. Nine months passed, and she gave birth to a boy, with a handsome appearance, good-looking and beautiful. After that, she continued to enjoy herself with the bird king Good Wings. After they enjoyed themselves, they gave birth to a bird son Good Wings, and after a long time, the bird king Good Wings passed away. Many birds gathered together and let the son inherit the throne of Good Wings' death. The mother said to him, son, you have inherited your father's throne, you should let your brother be the human king of Jambudvipa. He said, I will do that. At that time, the king of Jambudvipa was named Brahmadeva, and he possessed wealth, prosperity, happiness, good harvests, and many people, pacifying strife, disputes, conflicts, and discord, free from robbery and disease, possessing rice, sugarcane, livestock, and buffaloes, ruling like a king of Dharma. In order to do this, in the gathering, the claws of the bird king Good Wings grabbed his hand and threw him into the great sea, and then decorated his brother with all kinds of ornaments and placed him on the lion throne. Then he said to the ministers, gentlemen, this is your king, whoever offends him in the slightest, I
