The earth shook. Dancers, poets, and dancers skilled in various dances began to dance. When the great clamor arose, the god of wealth, with flowers, from the tips of the feet to the crown of the head, wrapped and lulled the son of King Rising Sun. Then, pushed from the balcony, as soon as he fell, he was devoured alive by dogs, leaving only bones. Crows, vultures, foxes, and other carrion-eating creatures also began to fight over it. In Kausambi, the sound of clamor grew loud, saying, "He fell from the balcony, falling from the beautiful city, and was eaten by dogs!" Then, some wept, some rejoiced, and some remained indifferent. Some became rapacious. When the great clamor arose, the monks residing in Kausambi fled separately, some going to Shravasti, and some going to other places. At that time, the one in power, other ministers, the chief of the people residing in Kausambi, Brahmins, and householders calmed the clamor, and then the one in power began to investigate how the king went to the balcony and how the dogs gathered under the balcony. As they investigated in this way, they discovered how the god of wealth had killed the king by trickery, and they were enraged, imprisoning the god of wealth in a thorn house and burning him. The monks became doubtful and asked the Blessed One, who cuts off all doubts, "Venerable One, what karma did the son of King Rising Sun commit, that he suffered the consequence of being eaten by dogs and dying?" The Blessed One replied, "Monks, the son of King Rising Sun himself performed and accumulated deeds that lead to evil consequences, and just as encountering suitable conditions, it will inevitably occur. Monks, will the deeds performed and accumulated by the son of King Rising Sun be experienced separately by others? Monks, the deeds performed and accumulated do not mature in the external earth element, nor in the water element, nor in the fire element, nor in the wind element, but however, virtuous and non-virtuous deeds

The aggregates, realms, and sources that have been accumulated will only ripen, and even after hundreds of millions of kalpas, actions will not be wasted. When they gather and the time arrives, they will ripen into fruition for sentient beings. Monks, in the past, in a place called Riwo, there was a Brahmin priest. When no Buddha had appeared, solitary Buddhas, who were compassionate to the poor and lowly, delighted in remote dwelling places, and were the sole objects of offerings, would appear in the world. A solitary Buddha, wandering, went to Riwo and stayed there one night in a certain place. The next morning, he put on his undergarment and robes, and carrying his bowl, entered the town of Riwo for alms. The priest also came out leading a dog, and he set the dog on that great, faultless, and non-harming solitary Buddha. Monks, what do you think? That priest was this son of King Sharwa. At that time, because he set a dog on that faultless and non-harming solitary Buddha, due to the ripening of that action, he was eaten by dogs for five hundred lifetimes and passed away. Even now, he is still being eaten by dogs and passing away. Monks, therefore, the ripening of black actions is also black, and the ripening of white actions is also white. The ripening of mixed actions is also mixed. Monks, therefore, having abandoned black and mixed actions, you should strive only for white actions. Monks, you should train yourselves in this way. The Blessed One spoke thus, and those monks rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The son of King Sharwa passed away and became the tyrant Rabnang, an unrivaled king. At another time, he came to the top of the palace, surrounded by a retinue of ministers, speaking unpleasant words and sitting there. "Wise ones, in which village, city, or place is there a fine courtesan?" The ministers said, "In Lhadojok, there is a courtesan named Sangmo who is excellent in appearance and age."

There was someone skilled in the sixty-four arts. There is no one on earth who would not fall in love at first sight. The tyrant King Rab-snang, having heard of her beauty and age, immediately fell in love and said: No matter what I do to heal, it is of no use. I must enjoy myself with such a woman, so I will go to Stone Abode and enjoy myself with her. He said: O God, King Lotus Heart has long been your enemy, an opponent, an unfriendly person. He is always in Stone Abode, and if God goes to Stone Abode, he will surely destroy God. He said: Among the people there may be impartial people, but you stay here, I am going. He said: If God is so pleased, God knows best, but it is better to be cautious. King Rab-snang, lusting after women, did not listen to him, rode the elephant king Lotus Mountain, and went to Stone Abode. He gradually went to Mortar Mountain, where he left the elephant king Lotus Mountain and went to Stone Abode. Then, he took off a pearl necklace worth a hundred thousand gold from his neck, went to the prostitute who lived by beauty, and played with her, rejoiced, and enjoyed himself. The Brahmins and householders in the holy land, the wise ones, began to think about where the king had gone when he was not visible. Some of them said: Is he an ordinary person? He is only changing from invisible to visible, he has not gone anywhere. Others said: He has a large entourage of concubines, why should he go out? He enjoys happiness and play alone among the concubines. Some said: What is there to doubt about this? Come, let us go and ask the physician. Some said: Very well, let us do so. So they all gathered together, went to the physician, and said: Physician, where has God gone when he is not visible? He said.
