DKG009 0018.The completion of the one hundred and eighty offenses of expiation..g2.0f

English

Then, the Blessed One, starting from "this happened," made the precepts up to the establishment of the training. Furthermore, if any bhikkhuni harbors hatred towards the bhikkhunis, or causes others to harbor hatred, even with a joking intention, it is a patayantika offense. Again, "any bhikkhuni" refers to a stout woman. "Harboring hatred" means oneself. "Causing others to harbor hatred" means others. "It is a patayantika offense" is the same as before. So, how does one become guilty of a patayantika offense? Furthermore, if any bhikkhuni, with the intention of hating the bhikkhunis, approaches unsightly and unpleasant things, approaches those that are dark and black, with a color like charcoal, and displeasing, such as approaching things like burnt tree stumps, and then says, "Such ugly forms like yours will have yakshas, pretas, flesh-eaters, demons, kumbhandas, those with decaying bodies, and the decayed, come to you and kill you, taking away your life." Whether the bhikkhuni harbors hatred or not, it will be a patayantika offense. Similarly, making sounds is like this, such as making the sounds of lions, tigers, jackals, and also the various sounds of pretas and flesh-eaters, from "making sounds" to "it is a patayantika offense." Similarly, emitting odors is like this, such as emitting foul smells, urine, dregs, the smell of goats with tangled hair, and various odors of pretas and so on, from "emitting odors" to "it is a patayantika offense." Similarly, emitting various tactile sensations is like this, such as emitting the tactile sensations of wood, rough things, reeds, whips, and various tactile sensations of pretas and so on, from "emitting tactile sensations" to "it is a patayantika offense." A bhikkhuni, with the intention of abandoning bhikkhunis, shows pleasing forms, such as showing a large sala tree of the Kshatriya caste, a large sala tree of the Brahmin caste, and a large sala tree of the householder caste, and gods, gandharvas, non-humans, and mahoragas with such forms, whether the bhikkhuni harbors hatred or not, it will constitute a dukkrta offense.

Thus, that which produces pleasing sounds, such as: the lute, iron cymbals, hand drums, and extremely melodious sounds, etc. Such sounds, from "gods, etc." to "has offended." Thus, that which produces pleasing scents, such as: agarwood, sandalwood, Turuka, camphor, etc. Such scents, from "gods, etc." to "has offended." Thus, that which produces pleasing tactile sensations, such as: silk, cotton, clothing, silk satin, Dugula garments, etc. Such tactile sensations, from "gods, etc." to "has offended." The ninth of the fifth Defeat is complete. The incident occurred in Shravasti. At that time, the nun Thullananda had many attendants. She ate and drank so much that dust made her clothes unclean. She was unable to wash and mend those clothes, so she permanently gave them to those who lived with her and were close to her. Those people washed and mended those Dharma robes, put them in boxes, and entrusted them to her, and went traveling. While those people were traveling, thinking that she would return them, they used those clothes. She again made those clothes stained with dirt, and then put them back in those boxes. When these people returned and saw that the clothes had become dirty, they began to scold her, at which time the nuns reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, from "this happened" up to "establishing the precepts," said: If any nun gives clothes to a nun and then uses them without taking them back, she commits a defeat. Any nun, refers to Thullananda. Clothes, refers to any of the seven types. Without taking back, refers to without making an agreement. Commits a defeat, as mentioned before. So, how does one commit a defeat? No matter how much clothing a nun gives, if she uses it without taking it back, she will commit a defeat in all cases. If (the other person) is a companion and friend, and will be happy to hear about it, then there is no offense.

No self. (The tenth of the fifth chapter of 'Fallen Offenses' is completed.) The beginning is: In Shravasti. At that time, the twelve groups and the nuns fought and exposed each other's shortcomings, overwhelmed by anger and hatred, groundlessly accusing the nuns of Sanghavasesa offenses, and slandering the nuns with minor matters. At that time, they reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One made [teachings] from "this happened" to "establishing the precepts." Again, if any nun is angry and does not like hatred, and groundlessly accuses pure and innocent nuns with Sanghavasesa offenses, she commits a fallen offense. Again, "which nun" refers to the twelve groups. "Angry" is as before. "With Sanghavasesa" refers to any of the twenty. "Commits a fallen offense" is as before. So, how does one commit a fallen offense? A nun sees a nun committing a Sanghavasesa offense, and she gains the view that she has not committed a fallen offense, and thereby she changes her perception, patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and view, and says, "I saw that nun commit a Sanghavasesa offense." Then she commits a fallen offense. A nun sees a nun committing a Sanghavasesa offense, and she gains the view of committing a fallen offense, and thereby she changes her perception, patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and view, and says, "I saw that nun commit a Sanghavasesa offense." Then she commits a fallen offense. A nun sees a nun committing a Sanghavasesa offense, and she gains the view that she should confess separately, and thereby she changes her perception, patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and view, and says, "I saw that nun commit a Sanghavasesa offense." Then she commits a fallen offense. A nun sees a nun committing a Sanghavasesa offense, and she gains the view of committing a misdeed, and thereby she changes her perception, patience, desire, wisdom, discrimination, and view,
