the servant of the boy Nyagrodha-born. He said this: "Who hired you?" They said this: "We were not hired by him, but the father let us do this household's livelihood." Then, the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-born said to those farmers: "Wise ones, if the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-born's father let you do this household's livelihood, wise ones, why do you engage in cursing and beating to work? Why do you always create such actions of body and speech? Won't you experience suffering for a long time in samsara due to its ripening?" Then, the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-born thought this: "I do not engage in even a little bit with the body, nor with speech, nor with mind, and from this, non-merit has newly arisen for me." He thought this. Then, the Brahmin boy Nyagrodha-born went to his own home and said to the Shakya clan's daughter Good: "Good, carefully manage the household." The Shakya clan's daughter Good said this: "Prince's son, what are you doing?" He said this: "I am going to the forest of asceticism." How many verses were spoken? "A small bowl is enough for rice, one bed creates happiness, a pair of coarse cloth clothes should be held, the rest is completely held in ignorance." For a while, Good also began to look after the household. How long did it take for the maids' hands and feet to get frostbite, wear old clothes, and have dirty heads? Seeing them stabbing each other with short spears in their mouths for the sake of mortars, pestles, elephants, and beds, she went over and said to them: "Virtuous women, who do you belong to?" They said this: "We belong to the Shakya clan's daughter Good." He said this: "Were you hired by the Shakya clan's daughter Good?" They said this: "Like this, we were not hired by the Shakya clan's daughter Good, but the stepmother hired us to do this household's livelihood." For a while.

Then that thought also arose, and he spoke the verses: A small bag of rice is enough, one bed brings happiness, a pair of mended cloths should be held, the rest is completely attached to ignorance. During that time, the Buddha had not yet appeared, so he gave alms to other heretics, wanderers, naked ones, those who live everywhere, ash-covered ones, and so on, as well as to the poor, the afflicted, and beggars, making the poor no longer poor, slaves, hired laborers, and those who are ordered about are no longer ordered about, he divided all the wealth among relatives, ministers, close relatives, and in-laws, and then entered the house, thinking: Let me take some of the worst clothes. So he looked at the storehouse of clothes and wealth, and he took a large piece of coarse cloth worth a hundred thousand, and gave a similar one to the virtuous woman, and entrusted the house to the relatives. Then, the Brahmin son Nyagrodha-born said to the daughter of Kapilavastu, the virtuous woman: Virtuous woman, where do you want to go? She replied: I will go with you to the hermitage of asceticism. He said: Why live in the hermitage of asceticism with a woman? She said: Why, when you were about to leave before, did you first send the woman away from home? Why? The virtuous woman said: Why, when you were about to leave before, a woman is like cooked rice, she will be sought after by many people, if you leave, it is not right if I am sought after by others. Then, the Brahmin son Nyagrodha-born thought: This girl is intelligent and her wisdom is very firm. So to the daughter of Kapilavastu,

There was a non-Buddhist named 'Perfected' who claimed to be omniscient, but was not. He was surrounded by many naked ascetics and their disciples. Then, the good woman of Serkya (Shravasti), went to where the naked ascetic Perfected was, and upon arriving, said to the naked ascetic Perfected: 'Venerable one, I wish to be ordained by you.' He ordained her there and placed her among the naked women. Then, those naked ascetics saw the good woman of Serkya, who was of good form, beautiful to look at, lovely, with a radiant complexion, and excellent, and they said to each other: 'Whatever we have ordained for is for the sake of the five qualities of divine desire. This good woman of Serkya is like a goddess. For a while, we may or may not find the qualities of divine desire. In any case, let us enjoy this good woman of Serkya.' Having said this, about five hundred naked ascetics went to where the naked ascetic Perfected was. For a while, the situation was described in detail. Then, they solicited the woman of Serkya, and she also granted it out of compassion for the disciples. Then, due to the ripening of karma, each day five hundred naked ascetics would happily enjoy her. After a while, she became disgusted and pleaded with Perfected, who said: 'Go and meet the one who is bound by fetters.' At that time, the Blessed One, the Bodhisattva, at the age of twenty-nine, having enjoyed various pleasures, and having seen an old man, a sick man, and a dead man, his mind turned away, and at midnight he rode the precious horse 'Praised' and went to the forest. Having practiced austerities for six years that were of no benefit, he bathed in the Nairanjana River, and accepted the milk porridge made from sixteen extractions from the two girls, Gaga and Gagabala. The Naga king Time praised him with verses, and having taken grass from the auspicious grass seller, he went to the foot of the Bodhi tree, and laid out a seat that was unmoving and unshakeable, and sat in full lotus posture like the Naga king coiled in sleep.
