These are to be confessed separately, meaning: to confess without concealing. How does one incur a downfall in this? From the point where a bhikṣuṇī, regarding those household vows that are known to be studied slightly, from 'without having been invited before' until 'if they prepare or eat, in all cases it becomes something to be confessed separately.' If they were invited from the very beginning, or if the vows of training have been fully granted, there is no downfall. The eleventh thing to be confessed separately is complete. From the Bhikṣuṇī Vinaya-vibhaṅga, the things to be confessed separately are complete. Explaining Many Things to be Learned Now, the trainings will be spoken; in that regard, the preceding verses for the trainings are these: In vows, robes well worn, head not shaking. Leaping and body are turning, sitting and also feet, in the assembly are well composed. The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was dwelling in the abode of the ogre sage Kunzika. Then, the great matriarch of beings, Gautami Shakya, having shaved her hair and donned saffron robes, together with about five hundred others, traveled to where the ogre was, gradually walking, and arrived at the abode of the ogre sage Kunzika. When the Bhagavan, relying on the great matriarch of beings, Gautami, granted ordination and full acceptance to the bhikṣuṇīs in this Dharma and Vinaya, at that time, they did not know how we should wear the Dharma robes. The bhikṣuṇīs spoke to the bhikṣus, and the bhikṣus reported to the Bhagavan. The Bhagavan instructed: The Dharma robes should not be too tight, nor too loose, but should be worn in a rounded manner. When the Bhagavan said that the Dharma robes should be worn in that way, the great matriarch of beings and others, those bhikṣuṇīs who were naturally abiding, wore the Dharma robes and skirts. Then, at another time, twelve groups of bhikṣuṇīs were wearing very tight skirts, and the bhikṣuṇīs said to them: Why are you wearing such tight skirts?
