དག་དད་པ་ཅན་དག་སྨོད་པར་བྱེད་དེ། འཕགས་པ་དག་རྒྱན་པོ་བགྱིད་པ་དག་ཤམ་ཐབས་འདི་ལྟར་འཚལ་བས་འདི་ནི་ཚུལ་དང་མཐུན་པ་མ་ལགས་ཀྱིས་ཤམ་ཐབས་འདི་ལྟར་མ་གསོལ་ཅིག །དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཤེས་ལྡན་དག་འདི་ལ་དགོས་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །འཕགས་པ་དག་དགོས་པ་གང་ལགས། ཇེ་དང་པོར་ཁྱེད་ཅག་ཉིད་མི་ཤེས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་དང་། བསླབས་པར་གྱུར་པའོ། །དེ་དག་རྒྱ་ཆེར་སྨོད་པར་ཞུགས་པ་ཐོས་ནས་སྐབས་དེ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་པ། ཁྱིམ་པ་དག་ཟེར་བ་བདེན་ནོ་སྙམ་ནས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་ངའི་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་འདི་ལྟར་གདོན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། ཤམ་ཐབས་སྦྲུལ་མགོའི་གདེངས་ཀ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །བསླབ་པ་བསྡུ་བའི་མདོ་ནི་ཤམ་ཐབས་ཟླུམ་པོར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱ། ཤམ་ཐབས་ཧ་ཅང་རྩེངས་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཧ་ཅང་འཇོལ་བ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། གླང་པོ་ཆེའི་སྣ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཏ་ལའི་ལོ་མ་ལྟར་བལྟབ་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། འབྲུའི་ཕུར་མ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། སྦྲུལ་མགོའི་གདེངས་ཀ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགེ་སློང་གིས་ཤམ་ཐབས་ཟླུམ་པོར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱ། ཤམ་ཐབས་ཧ་ཅང་རྩེངས་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཧ་ཅང་འཇོལ་བ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། གླང་པོ་ཆེའི་སྣ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཏ་ལའི་ལོ་མ་ལྟར་བལྟབ་པ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། འབྲུའི་ཕུར་མ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། སྦྲུལ་མགོའི་གདེངས་ཀ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ནས། དགེ་སློང་དག་ཆོས་གོས་གྱོན་པ་ན་ཇི་ལྟར་བགོ་བ་མི་ཤེས་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་གོས་ཟླུམ་པོར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་གོས་ཟླུམ་པོར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ནས། དྲུག་སྡེ་དག་ཆོས་གོས་ཧ་ཅང་རྩེངས་པར་གྱོན་པར་བྱེད་ནས། བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་ཁྱིམ་བདག་དད་པ་ཅན་དག་སྨོད་པར་བྱེད་དེ། འཕགས་པ་དག་དྭ་དག་དང་། རྒྱན་པོ་པ་དག་དང་། ནལ་གྱི་བུ་དག་སྟོད་གཡོགས་འདི་ལྟར་འཚལ་བས་འདི་ནི་ཚུལ་དང་མཐུན་པ་མ་ལགས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་གོས་འདི་ལྟར་མ་གསོལ་ཅིག །དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཤེས་ལྡན་དག་འདི་ལ་དགོས་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །འཕགས་པ་དག་དགོས་པ་གང་ལགས། ཇེ་དང་པོར་ཁྱེད་ཅག་ཉིད་མི་ཤེས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་དང་། བསླབས་པར་གྱུར་པའོ། །དེ་དག་རྒྱ་ཆེར་སྨོད་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ཐོས་ནས་སྐབས་དེ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་པ། ཁྱིམ་པ་དག་ཟེར་བ་བདེན་ནོ་སྙམ་ནས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་ངའི་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་འདི་ལྟར་གདོན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། ཆོས་གོས་ཧ་ཅང་རྩེངས་པ་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་གོས་ཧ་ཅང་རྩེངས་པ་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ནས། དྲུག་སྡེ་དག་ཧ་ཅང་འཇོལ་བར་གྱོན་པར་བྱེད་ནས། བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་ཁྱིམ་བདག་དད་པ་ཅན་དག་སྨོད་པར་བྱེད་དེ། འཕགས་པ་དག་ཏག་ཀའི་ཡུལ་ན་གནས་པའི་མི་དག་དང་། རིགས་ཀྱི་མནའ་མ་དག་སྟོད་གཡོགས་འདི་ལྟར་འཚལ་བས་འདི་ནི་ཚུལ་དང་མཐུན་པ་མ་ལགས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་གོས་འདི་ལྟར་མ་གསོལ་ཅིག །དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཤེས་ལྡན་དག་འདི་ལ་དགོས་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །འཕགས་པ་དག་དགོས་པ་གང་ལགས། ཇེ་དང་པོར་ཁྱེད་ཅག་ཉིད་མི་ཤེས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་དང་། བསླབས་པར་གྱུར་པའོ། །དེ་དག་རྒྱ་ཆེར་སྨོད་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ཐོས་ནས་སྐབས་དེ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་པ། ཁྱིམ་པ་དག་ཟེར་བ་བདེན་ནོ་སྙམ་ནས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་ངའི་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་འདི་ལྟར་གདོན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། ཆོས་གོས་ཧ་ཅང་འཇོལ་བ་མ་ཡིན་པར་བགོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །དྲུག་སྡེ་དག་ལག་པ་དང་རྐང་པ་རྐྱོང་བར་བྱེད་ཅིང་ཁྱིམ་གཞན་དུ་འདོང་ནས་བྲམ་ཟེ་དང་། ཁྱིམ་བདག་དད་པ་ཅན་དག་སྨོད་པར་བྱེད་དེ། འཕགས་པ་དག་བྱིས་པ་ཁྱེའུ་དག་དང་། ཆང་གིས་ར་རོ་བ་དག་དང་འབྱུང་པོ་དང་ཤ་ཟས་བརླམས་པ་དག་ལག་པ་དང་རྐང་པ་འདི་ལྟར་རྐྱོང་བར་བགྱིད་ཅིང་མཆི་བས་འདི་ནི་ཚུལ་དང་མཐུན་པ་མ་ལགས་ཀྱིས་འདི་ལྟར་མ་བཞུད་ཅིག་དེ་དག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཤེས་ལྡན་དག་འདི་ལ་དགོས་པ་ཡོད་དོ། །འཕགས་པ་དག་དགོས་པ་གང་ལགས། ཇེ་དང་པོར་ཁྱེད་ཅག་ཉིད་མི་ཤེས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བ་དང་། བསླབས་པར་གྱུར་པའོ། །དེ་དག་རྒྱ་ཆེར་སྨོད་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ཐོས་ནས་སྐབས་དེ་དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་གསོལ་པ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་དགོངས་པ། ཁྱིམ་པ་དག་ཟེར་བ་བདེན་ནོ་སྙམ་ནས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་ངའི་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བ་ལ་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་འདི་ལྟར་གདོན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བསྡམས་ཤིང་ཁྱིམ་གཞན་དུ་འགྲོ་བར་བསླབ་པར་བྱའོ། །དྲུག་སྡེ་དག་ཆོས་གོས་བསྡུས་ཤིང་ཕྲག་པ་ལ་གཟར་ཏེ་ཁྱིམ་གཞན་

那些有信仰的人们会责骂说：‘圣者们，赌徒们，像这样穿着内衣，这不合规矩，不要这样穿内衣。’他们说：‘智者们，这有必要。’圣者们，有什么必要呢？首先，你们自己要远离无知，并且要学习。’听到他们开始广泛地责骂，那时比丘们向世尊禀告，世尊心想：‘在家人说的是真的。’于是说道：‘比丘们，因此，我的声闻弟子们应该这样念诵学习的根本：要学习穿着内衣，不要像蛇头的冠一样。’学习总摄经是：要学习圆满地穿着内衣。要学习穿着内衣，不要太高，不要太低，不要像象鼻一样，不要像棕榈叶一样折叠，不要像谷堆一样，不要像蛇头的冠一样。’世尊说：‘比丘们，要学习比丘圆满地穿着内衣。要学习穿着内衣，不要太高，不要太低，不要像象鼻一样，不要像棕榈叶一样折叠，不要像谷堆一样，不要像蛇头的冠一样。’这样说完后，比丘们因为不知道穿法衣时该如何穿着，世尊说道：‘因此，比丘们，要学习圆满地穿着法衣。’世尊说：‘要学习圆满地穿着法衣。’这样说完后，六群比丘们穿着法衣时穿得太高了，婆罗门和有信仰的施主们会责骂说：‘圣者们，是哑巴，是赌徒，是聋子的儿子，像这样穿着上衣，这不合规矩，不要这样穿法衣。’他们说：‘智者们，这有必要。’圣者们，有什么必要呢？首先，你们自己要远离无知，并且要学习。’听到他们开始广泛地责骂，那时比丘

Those who have faith will scold, saying, 'Venerable ones, gamblers, wearing underwear like this is not proper, do not wear underwear like this.' They say, 'Wise ones, there is a need for this.' Venerable ones, what is the need? First of all, you yourselves must be free from ignorance and must learn.' Hearing that they began to scold widely, at that time the monks reported to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One thought, 'What the householders say is true.' Then he said, 'Monks, therefore, my disciples should recite the root of learning like this: one should learn to wear underwear, not like the crest of a snake's head.' The sutra of collecting learning is: one should learn to wear underwear perfectly. One should learn to wear underwear, not too high, not too low, not like an elephant's trunk, not folded like a palm leaf, not like a grain heap, not like the crest of a snake's head.' The Blessed One said, 'Monks, monks should learn to wear underwear perfectly. One should learn to wear underwear, not too high, not too low, not like an elephant's trunk, not folded like a palm leaf, not like a grain heap, not like the crest of a snake's head.' After saying this, the monks did not know how to wear the Dharma garment, so the Blessed One said, 'Therefore, monks, you should learn to wear the Dharma garment perfectly.' The Blessed One said, 'You should learn to wear the Dharma garment perfectly.' After saying this, the group of six monks wore the Dharma garment too high, and the Brahmins and faithful patrons would scold, saying, 'Venerable ones, are dumb, are gamblers, are sons of deaf people, wearing upper garments like this is not proper, do not wear Dharma garments like this.' They say, 'Wise ones, there is a need for this.' Venerable ones, what is the need? First of all, you yourselves must be free from ignorance and must learn.' After the Blessed One taught, 'One should train to wear robes that are not too coarse,' the group of six monks wore very loose robes. Brahmins and faithful householders began to criticize, 'Venerables, the people living in the Taka region and the daughters-in-law of noble families wear their upper garments like this. This is not proper. Do not wear robes like this.' They said, 'Wise ones, there is a need for this.' 'Venerables, what is the need?' 'First of all, you yourselves are ignorant and uneducated.' Hearing them greatly criticizing, at that time the monks requested the Blessed One, and the Blessed One thought, 'What the householders say is true.' Then he taught, 'Monks, therefore, my disciples should recite this basis for training in discipline as follows: One should train to wear robes that are not too loose.' The group of six monks stretched out their arms and legs and went to other people's houses. Brahmins and faithful householders began to criticize, 'Venerables, like children and drunkards, and those who are deluded by spirits and meat, stretching out their arms and legs like this and walking is not proper. Do not walk like this.' They said, 'Wise ones, there is a need for this.' 'Venerables, what is the need?' 'First of all, you yourselves are ignorant and uneducated.' Hearing them greatly criticizing, at that time the monks requested the Blessed One, and the Blessed One thought, 'What the householders say is true.' Then he taught, 'Monks, therefore, my disciples should recite this basis for training in discipline as follows: One should train to go to other people's houses very restrained.' The group of six monks gathered their robes and draped them over their shoulders, going to other people's houses.
