What should be done with this? The potter said: This is my land. They said: We will give you a donkey, you give this to us. The potter said: I need this. They said: We will give you a wooden cart with four oxen. The potter said: I need this. They said: You discuss it today, and we will come again tomorrow. So they left. According to the Dharma, when the world was newly formed, animals could also speak, so the foal said to the potter: What do they want? Do you want it? Why don't you give it? Do you think in your heart that I will plow your land and eat chaff and bean cakes as long as I live? I should be honored by the king and the royal family being crowned, and I should eat delicious food and sweet delicacies from golden vessels. If they call it a foal, what's wrong with calling them knowledgeable horses? If you say give it for a price, then give them a hundred thousand gold coins! Or say, give as much gold as this horse's right thigh can bear! The next day, they came and asked the potter: Potter, have you discussed it? I have discussed it. Then give this foal, what's wrong with you calling it a knowledgeable horse? They thought: How does this fool know whether this horse is a knowledgeable horse or not? Like this, this horse must have done something, so it spoke to him. They thought it must be so, so they said: Whether it is a knowledgeable horse or a foal, give it for a price! The potter said: Either give a hundred thousand gold coins, or give as much gold as this horse's right thigh can bear! They thought: This horse has magical powers and can bear many things, there must be such a place. So they said: Give a hundred thousand gold coins. They sent a message to King Brahma-datta saying that they had bought a knowledgeable horse for a hundred thousand gold coins. King Brahma-datta granted it and asked them how much they had bought it for.
