Thinking, 'I will manifest a form that is complete in its faculties and not inferior,' he directs his mind from this body and manifests another body born of mind, complete in its faculties and not inferior. For example, a fine beryl gem, possessing good qualities, clear, transparent, and without blemish, strung on a five-colored thread—blue, yellow, red, white, and light green. If a person with eyes sees it, they know, 'This is the thread, this is the gem, the gem is strung on this thread.' Similarly, he directs his mind from this body and manifests another body born of mind, complete in its faculties and not inferior. For example, when a person pulls a reed from its sheath, if a person with eyes sees it, they know, 'This is the reed, this is the sheath, the reed is pulled from the sheath.' Similarly, he directs his mind from this body and manifests another body born of mind, complete in its faculties and not inferior. For example, when a person takes a grain from a seed pod, if a person with eyes sees it, they know, 'This is the seed pod, the grain is taken from the seed pod.' Similarly, he directs his mind from this body and manifests another body born of mind, complete in its faculties and not inferior. For example, when a person draws a sword from its scabbard, if a person with eyes sees it, they know, 'This is the scabbard, this is the sword, the sword is drawn from the scabbard.' Similarly, he directs his mind from this body and manifests another body born of mind, complete in its faculties and not inferior. Thus, when his mind is perfectly purified, completely cleansed, without defilements, free from proximate defilements, upright, workable, abiding in immovability, he directs his mind towards direct knowledge for the sake of realizing the realm of magical powers, and he experiences various kinds of magical powers.

Becoming one and becoming many, becoming many and becoming one, experiencing the perception of appearing and disappearing, and also going directly through walls, also going directly through mountains, also going directly through fences, going without obstruction by the body is like a bird in the sky. On the ground, one can also emerge and dive like in water. In water, one can also go against the current, like on land. In the sky, one can also go cross-legged, like a winged bird. Even grasping and rubbing around the moon and sun, which are so miraculous and powerful, one can control with the body up to the world of Brahma. For example, just as a goldsmith or a skilled student of a goldsmith, recognizing that gold is very easy to work with, quickly makes whatever he wants to make, such as a bowl, necklace, bracelet, anklet, ring, or gold chain. Similarly, when he dwells so equally, his mind is completely pure, completely purified, without afflictions, free from near afflictions, upright, abiding in capability, having attained immovability, he directs his mind to the direct knowledge for the purpose of directly experiencing the realm of miracles, and then he can experience various kinds of miraculous realms, such as becoming one and becoming many, becoming many and becoming one, experiencing the perception of appearing and disappearing, experiencing the perception of appearing and disappearing, and also going directly through walls, also going directly through mountains, also going directly through fences, going without obstruction by the body is like a bird in the sky.
