་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ལྟར་མཉན་ནས་གང་དུ་ཆུ་བོ་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་འདྲེས་པ་དེ་ནས་ཆུས་ལྷུང་བཟེད་བཀང་ནས་ཁྱེར་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་གང་ན་བ་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་ལྷུང་ བཟེད་བཀང་བའི་ཆུ་ཕུལ་བ་དང་། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཞེས་ཏེ་གསོལ་ལོ། །ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་མཽད་གལ་གྱི་བུ་ཆེན་པོས་བསམས་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་སྔོན་གྱི་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། དགེ་སློང་དག་ཕ་དང་མས་ནི་བུ་གསོས། བསྲིངས་བསྐྱེད་ནུ་མས་བསྣུན། འཛམ་བུའི་གླིང་གི་སྣ་ཚོགས་སྟོན་པར་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་པས་ཤིན་ཏུ་དཀའ་བ་བྱེད་པ་སྟེ། བུས་ཕྲག་པ་གཅིག་ལ་ནི་མ་བཞག་ཅིག་ཤོས་ལ་ནི་ཕ་བཞག་ནས་ལོ་བརྒྱ་ཚང་བར་ཁུར་དུ་ཐོགས་སམ། ས་ཆེན་པོ་འདིའི་ནོར་བུ་དང་། མུ་ཏིག་དང་། བཻ་ཌཱུ་དང་། མན་ཤེལ་དང་། བྱི་རུ་དང་། དངུལ་དང་། གསེར་དང་། རྡོའི་སྙིང་པོ་དང་། སྦུག་དང་། པད་མ་རཱ་ག་དང་། དུང་གཡས་སུ་འཁྱིལ་པ་སྟེ། དེ་ལྟ་བུའི་དབང་ཕྱུག་ལ་བདག་པོར་བཅུག་ཀྱང་། བུས་ཕ་མ་ལ་དེ་ཙམ་གྱིས་ཕན་ཐོགས་པའམ་ལན་ལོན་པར་མི་འགྱུར་གྱི། གང་གིས་ཕ་མ་དད་པ་མེད་པ་དད་པ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་འཛིན་དུ་འཇུག་ལ་འདུལ་ཞིང་འཛུད་དེ་སོ་སོར་འགོད་པར་བྱེད་པ་དང་། ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་འཆལ་པ་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། སེར་སྣ་ཅན་གཏོང་བ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། ཤེས་རབ་འཆལ་པ། ཤེས་རབ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་འཛིན་དུ་འཇུག་ལ་འདུལ་ཞིང་འཛུད་དེ་སོ་སོར་འགོད་པར་བྱེད་ན། དེ་ཙམ་གྱིས་བུས་ཕ་དང་མ་ལ་ཕན་ཐོགས་པ་དང་ལན་ལོན་པ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་ན། བདག་གིས་ནི་མ་ལ་ལན་གཅིག་ཡང་མ་ལོན་གྱིས། མ་ལ་བདག་གིས་བདག་གི་མ་གང་དུ་སྐྱེས་པ་བསམ་མོ་སྙམ་ནས་བསམ་པ་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་དང་། འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཁམས་འོད་ཟེར་ཅན་དུ་སྐྱེས་པར་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དེས་དེ་སུའི་གདུལ་བྱ་ཡིན་པ་བརྟགས་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཡིན་པར་མཐོང་ནས་དེ་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་ཏེ། བདག་ལམ་རིང་པོ་ནས་འདིར་འོངས་པས་ཅི་ནས་ཀྱང་བདག་གིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་དོན་འདི་གསོལ་ལོ་སྙམ་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་གསོལ་ཏོ། །བཙུན་པ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་སྔོན་དགེ་སློང་དག་ཕ་དང་མ་ནི་བུ་ལ་ཤིན་དུ་དཀའ་བ་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་ན། བདག་གི་མ་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ཁམས་འོད་ཟེར་ཅན་དུ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། དེ་ཡང་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་འདུལ་བར་འགྱུར་ལགས་ན། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཐུགས་བརྩེ་བ་ཉེ་བར་བཟུང་སྟེ་གདུལ་བར་གསོལ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། མཽད་

的大儿子，听闻世尊的教导后，从五百条河流汇合的地方，用水装满钵，然后前往世尊所在的地方，将装满水的钵献给世尊。世尊接受并饮用了。具寿目犍连的大儿子心想，世尊以前曾开示说：‘比丘们，父母养育儿子，辛勤劳作，用乳汁哺育。为了向赡部洲展示各种事物，他们付出了极大的努力。儿子将母亲放在一个肩膀上，父亲放在另一个肩膀上，这样背负一百年。或者，让他们拥有这片大地上所有的宝物，如珍珠、吠琉璃、曼 শেল（一种宝石）、珊瑚、银、金、宝石的精华、sbug（一种宝石）、红莲花宝、右旋海螺等等。即使让他们拥有如此的财富，儿子也无法以此报答父母的恩情或偿还他们的恩德。如果有人能使没有信仰的父母生起圆满的信仰，调伏并引导他们，使他们各自安住于正信；使戒律败坏的父母生起圆满的戒律；使悭吝的父母生起圆满的布施；使智慧败坏的父母生起圆满的智慧，调伏并引导他们，使他们各自安住于正慧，这样儿子才能报答父母的恩情或偿还他们的恩德。’ 我一次也没有报答过母亲的恩情。我在想，我的母亲投生到哪里了呢？于是我进入禅定，看到她投生在光辉世界。我观察到那是谁的所化之境，发现是世尊的所化之境。我心想：‘我从遥远的地方来到这里，无论如何，我都要将此事禀告世尊。’于是，我对世尊这样说道：‘尊者，世尊以前曾说，比丘们，父母为儿子付出了极大的努力。我的母亲已经投生到光辉世界，而且她也将被世尊所调伏。请世尊以慈悲之心摄受并调伏她。’世尊开示说：‘目犍'

The great son of Maudgalyayana, having heard the teachings of the Blessed One, filled his bowl with water from the confluence of five hundred rivers and went to where the Blessed One was. He offered the bowl filled with water to the Blessed One, who accepted and drank it. The great son of Maudgalyayana thought, "The Blessed One previously taught, 'Monks, parents nurture their children, working hard and feeding them with milk. They make great efforts to show them the various things of Jambudvipa. Even if a son were to carry his mother on one shoulder and his father on the other, bearing them for a hundred years, or if they were to possess all the treasures of this great earth, such as pearls, vaidurya, man-shel (a type of gem), coral, silver, gold, the essence of jewels, sbug (a type of gem), red lotus jewels, right-spiraling conch shells, and so on, even if they were given such wealth, the son could not repay the kindness of his parents or requite their favor. But if someone were to cause their parents, who lack faith, to generate perfect faith, disciplining and guiding them, establishing them in right faith; causing their parents, who are immoral, to generate perfect morality; causing their parents, who are miserly, to generate perfect generosity; causing their parents, who lack wisdom, to generate perfect wisdom, disciplining and guiding them, establishing them in right wisdom, then the son would be repaying the kindness of his parents or requiting their favor.' I have never repaid my mother's kindness even once. I was wondering where my mother had been reborn. So I entered into meditation and saw that she had been reborn in the Radiant World. I investigated whose field of taming that was and found that it was the Blessed One's. I thought, 'I have come here from a long way, so I must tell the Blessed One about this.' So I said to the Blessed One, 'Venerable One, the Blessed One previously said, "Monks, parents make great efforts for their children." My mother has been reborn in the Radiant World, and she will be tamed by the Blessed One. Please, Blessed One, with your compassionate heart, accept and tame her.'
