Before the Sangha has risen and the monks have not left, after that, if many resident monks arrive, they should also make the request, perform the Uposatha, and recite the Pratimoksha Sutra, so that it will not become a serious violation for the previous monks. For example, on the fifteenth Uposatha day, if four or more suddenly arrived monks gather together and agree, they will not think, "Which monks have not arrived yet?" Those who have Dharma knowledge and have the same idea, if they make a request, perform the Uposatha, and recite the Pratimoksha Sutra, then the Sangha has already recited the Pratimoksha Sutra and performed the Uposatha.
