After reciting eight times, also perform the twelve mudras. Among them, the first is the mudra of the thousand-eyed Bodhisattva gathering the entire body, which is like this: First, stand up straight, with the body upright, feet together, and the right foot slightly bent. Previously, extend the left hand downwards, bend the middle and ring fingers, place them in the palm, and extend the little finger, index finger, and thumb upwards. Open the palm and face it upwards. Afterwards, do the same with the right hand, bend the middle finger, keep it level with the shoulder, and face the palm forward. This is called the mudra of gathering the entire body. If you want to destroy the thickness of the perverse views of demons and heretics and lead them into the right path, perform this mudra and recite the mantra twenty-one times, and without seeking, your wishes will be fulfilled. The mantra is as follows: Namo Ratna Trayaya, Nama Arya Avalokitesvaraya, Bodhisattvaya, Mahasattvaya, Mahakarunikaya, Tadyatha, Avatte, Avatte, Parivartte, Ehi Ehi Svaha. The second is the mudra of the all-holding dharani of the thousand-eyed Bodhisattva, which is like this: Like the previous mudra of gathering the entire body, join the palms and place them at the heart, cross the five fingers, with the left hand pressing the right, extend the two index fingers straight and touch the tips, press the two thumbs on the first joint of the two index fingers, and separate them slightly. This is called the mudra of the all-holding dharani. If this mudra is performed, all the sinful deeds of samsara from countless kalpas will be completely purified at once. In the future, one will be reborn in the completely pure Buddha-fields of the ten directions. When the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha was about to attain perfect enlightenment, the king of demons sought an opportunity, and by performing this mudra of the all-holding dharani, he attained extremely blissful samadhi and dhyana. Third, the mudrā of liberation, meditation, and samādhi of the thousand-eyed Bodhisattva is as follows: Again, drape the robe over one shoulder, place the right knee on the ground, join the palms at the crown of the head, bend the two index fingers, touching their tips, and press the two thumbs on the second joint of the index fingers. This Dharma mudrā is called the mudrā of liberation, meditation, and samādhi. All the Tathāgatas of the past also attained meditation, samādhi, and liberation by practicing this Dharma. The vidyā-mantra is the same as before. If someone makes this mudrā like holding an umbrella and makes offerings, they will quickly see the Buddhas of the ten directions. Fourth, the mudrā of the thousand-eyed Bodhisattva is as follows: Stand up straight, with feet together, previously placing the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger back to back, raise the two index fingers, touching their tips, and press the two thumbs on the second joint of the index fingers, separate the two hands by about five colors, and place them between the eyebrows. This is called the thousand-eyed mudrā. If this Dharma gate of the mudrā is performed, one will see countless hundreds of thousands of billions of worlds in the pure Buddha-fields. In each Buddha-field, ten myriads and four thousand Bodhisattvas will become companions of that yogi. Those who have not entered the Dharma gate of the mandala three times should neither see this Dharma gate of the mudrā nor perform this ritual. If it is a Bodhisattva with signs of realization, with clear Dharma and wisdom of Abhisamaya, then all wishes will be fulfilled.
