In short, after doing so, one can calculate all things such as stars, earth lords, property, planets, and the sun, and determine the beginning of the year. He proclaimed a decree to all Tibetans: "This month is not the Chinese New Year either." When deciding the date of the war, the Chinese said, "Look to see if the stars are victorious at the beginning of the year, the war is before this month." They lied like this, covering up the king's faults, and it is also called the Tibetan king's law, and also called Tibetan astrology. Later, even though everyone knew it was the beginning of calculation, the Tibetan king did not abolish it, because he said it was an auspicious beginning. Furthermore, in China, there appeared two demon-incarnate monks named Hashang Dewa and Chinese Setan. They fabricated many false calculations that contradicted the teachings of Manjushri, and many of these calculations have been mixed into the current calculations. Because some black stones appeared in some divination for the dead, some people say that even if you practice Dharma later, it is useless. Divining whether one can be buried, and if the divination says one cannot be buried, then doing good deeds later will not be auspicious. If great people such as kings have calamities, they will transfer the calamities by making sacrifices, killing someone of the same age as him to transfer the calamities, and so on. There are many false religions and false divinations. Similarly, the so-called nine-circle cave, if the cave faces north, or turns its back to the sun and moon, and is dug arbitrarily, it will lead to death. Or it is said that if the mother is there, hope will be there, and so on, they fabricated many false divinations. If you abandon these, it will be auspicious. Later, when Mi bskyod rdo rje was invited, the Chinese emperor sent the minister Thai rkyen, leading an army of one hundred thousand. When the Karmapa met him in the Rab sgang area, there were many astrologers in the minister's entourage.

Gyalkyö Dorje said, "Now there are many Chinese calendars in Tibet. Which of the Chinese calendars is accurate regarding the Tiger month?" The answer is that the accurate one is when Muchu month is counted as the Tiger month, and this is how the star calculation letter wamgo ma came about. Even now, the great New Year of the Sgarpa is celebrated according to this, which is very famous. However, this is also a mistaken calculation made by the Chinese monk Dewa and the Chinese Sethan, as learned scholars and documents have stated. If the yin and yang of the months are mistaken, then the sun and planets will be wrong, and all astrological problems will be incorrect. I believe this corresponds to the prophecy in Orgyen's (Padmasambhava's) prophecy about the occurrence of calendar errors. Therefore, our own system recognizes the first month of spring, the Tiger month, as Gyal Zla ba (Victorious Month). The Drangden Lhamo'i Zhuspa and others are the root tantras of Black Calculation. Orgyen Rinpoche, having emanated as the Brahma deity and acting as the questioner of the calculations, is the root of all Black Calculation. Therefore, Orgyen Rinpoche also designated Gyal Zla ba as the Tiger month in the Gongdü Karmdzö, which I firmly believe. Jamyang Khyentse of Tsurphu Monastery also designated Gyal Zla ba as the Tiger month on the paper of Black Calculation. This is the original language of Black Calculation. Others, such as the Vinaya, do not have year names like Tiger and Rabbit, so it is unreasonable to conform to other systems. The Kalachakra calculates the Black Month as the first month of spring, and medicine considers Muchu month as the first month of spring, but this is not acceptable in Black Calculation. In some Black Calculation systems, it is said that the Tiger year has four springs, the Snake year has four summers, the Monkey year has four autumns, and the Pig year has four winters, meaning that there is an extra month in each of the four seasons. However, this does not agree with the Kalachakra and other systems, and it is an old calculation, so it is not good. If the months do not agree, all calculations will go wrong. As Orgyen Rinpoche's prophecy says, "If the planets, stars, dates, and numbers are inconsistent and mistaken, the benefits of auspicious connections will be exhausted." Therefore, regarding leap months: the four years of Rat, Horse, Bird, and Rabbit have leap months, which also agrees with the Kalachakra, so this is good. Among them, the Rat year has two mid-spring months, the Rabbit year has two mid-summer months, the Bird year has two mid-winter months, and the Horse year has two mid-autumn months. Seventh, regarding the calculation of the sun's movement: In the six male years, the Tiger day, Dragon day, Fish day, and Sheep day are empty. In the six female years, the Monkey day, Dog day, Fish day, and Ox day are empty. The month has no days.
