From... it is said, abiding alone in the forest, practicing all dharmas as illusion, one knows various dreams. Abiding in patience, one is free from the lower realms. As stated in the 'Three Samayas': During the day, appearance and emptiness are like illusion, and at night, the dream is the form of a deity. If one does not stray from this self-arisen state, then that is the victorious one who enjoys complete abundance. In an instant, one passes into nirvana. If one abides continuously, what need is there to say more? Illusion and clear light are just like that. Generally, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, which are encompassed by conventional truth, are impermanent, unstable, like illusion and dreams. The way to meditate on their meaning is to contemplate all these phenomena of samsara and nirvana, thinking about where they come from, where they go, from which direction they arise, and upon investigation and analysis, one realizes that they come from nowhere, go nowhere, and abide nowhere. They are merely appearances of pure and impure minds. For example, like illusion and dreams, emanations, and cities of gandharvas, they are merely appearances, without inherent existence. One should understand this. Mitra Joki said this. The Bhagavan, the Great Sage, taught thirteen similes of illusion for all dharmas: All conditioned dharmas are like illusion, like mirages, like dreams, like reflections, like cities of gandharvas, like echoes, like moons in water, like bubbles, like optical illusions, like emanations. One should meditate and contemplate during all sessions, understanding that they have no true existence. During the main session, the practice of purifying the illusory body is: Meditate on all appearances as the Great Compassionate One. Meditate on all sounds as the sound of the six-syllable mantra (Tibetan: ཡི་གེ་དྲུག་པ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: षडक्षरी,Sanskrit Romanization: ṣaḍakṣarī,Literal meaning: six syllables), the sound of Om Mani Padme Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मणि पद्मे हूँ,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,Literal meaning: Om Mani Padme Hum) resounding. Meditate that these deities come from nowhere, go nowhere, and abide nowhere. They are merely appearances of one's own mind, like dreams and illusions. Meditate in this way and abide in non-proliferation. Especially in the stage of beginners, when meditating on oneself as the Great Compassionate One, the form is clear like a rainbow in the sky, appearing but without inherent existence like the moon in water, the ornaments are clear and distinct like reflections in a mirror, and the stable pride is the strong pride of thinking that oneself is the actual deity. Meditating on oneself in this way, all appearances as the form of the deity are the body of the Great Compassionate One, with various large and small forms, and all sounds are the sound of the six-syllable mantra, emptiness.

Like a lightning flash. All of these are not truly existent, but one should meditate on the appearances of one's own mind as illusions and dreams. Sometimes, when looking at the nature of the mind of such a meditator, it does not establish as the nature of anything, and one should leave it as it is in emptiness. Meditate on these two alternately. When realization has become somewhat familiar and movement does not harm meditation, without losing the state of cultivating the nature of mind, one should meditate on one's own body as a clear and empty rainbow-like form of a deity. Just as the five colors of a rainbow are clear but do not obscure the empty sky, one should meditate on the ornaments and attire of the deity's form as clear, but the nature of the mind's practice of emptiness is not obscured. Similarly, the nature of the mind's practice of emptiness does not obscure the color and hand gestures of the deity's form, just as a rainbow does not obscure the empty sky. This is the main part of the practice of the union of the generation and completion stages, and it is known as the main pillar of the illusory body path. When one is able to meditate in this way, in the three thousand great thousand world systems, in the hundred billion worlds of the four continents, one should meditate instantaneously on oneself as a hundred billion thousand-armed and thousand-eyed Avalokiteśvaras. Even more vast than that, in the three thousand great thousand world systems as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, one should meditate in the same way. From the mouths of all of these, the six-syllable mantra is uttered, and all sentient beings, with form and without form, pervaded by space, become entirely the form of the compassionate Avalokiteśvara who tames beings. Like a thousand dragons roaring at once, one should meditate on uttering the six-syllable mantra Om(藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) Mani(藏文:མཎི,梵文天城体:मणि,梵文罗马拟音:maṇi,汉语字面意思:嘛呢) Padme(藏文:པདྨེ,梵文天城体:पद्मे,梵文罗马拟音:padme,汉语字面意思:呗美) Hum(藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). All of these are not substantial, but one should meditate on them as illusions and dreams in the state of the union of the generation and completion stages. There is no need to withdraw this object of focus; this is the pith instruction for completely emptying samsara. This is the heart essence of Songtsen Gampo (c. 605-650, 33rd King of the Tibetan Empire), the words of Padmasambhava. It is said that by reciting the six-syllable mantra one hundred and eight times in this way, one will also accomplish the compassionate Avalokiteśvara. In this way, the union of the generation and completion stages is the actual teaching of the Vajrayana secret mantra. As it is said: The generation stage, And the completion stage, These two stages equally, This is the Buddha's teaching. Thus it is said. Relying on non-conceptuality to extract the essence is, the dream of taking ignorance as the path. Seizing and
