Life, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, will gather like the sands of the Ganges River. Son of the lineage, in each pore of his skin, billions of Tathagatas reside. Having resided, son of the lineage, you will obtain the wish-fulfilling jewel. Son of the lineage, it is good that you have liberated seven generations of lineage. Son of the lineage, those beings residing in your stomach will also become irreversible Bodhisattvas. It is good, the act of giving will be bestowed. Thus it was said. In the great Sutra of the Ornamented Jewel Casket, the Bhagavat Shakyamuni Buddha said: Those who are attached to other women, engage in wrongful conduct, and the act of killing, killing parents, killing Arhats, defaming Bhikshunis, destroying stupas, destroying monasteries, drawing blood from the Tathagata's body with malicious intent, all the obscurations of the deeds of immediate retribution, will be completely purified from the root by these six syllables of the Ornamented Jewel Casket. Thus it was said. Songtsen Gampo said: The ultimate of great compassion is reached by these six syllables, Om Mani Padme Hum. Purifying the obscurations for one's own benefit is also these six syllables. Purifying the realms of the six destinies for the benefit of others is also these six syllables. Attaining common accomplishments in this life is also these six syllables. Attaining the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra in the future is also these six syllables. Recite, chant, practice, display, tell Om Mani Padme Hum. This is the path of the Buddhas of the past, the teachings of the Buddhas of the present, and the path of the Buddhas of the future. Thus he advised. To the outer ministers. The Dharma, the very essence of great compassion, Om (Tibetan: ༀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om) Mani (Tibetan: མ, Sanskrit Devanagari: म, Sanskrit Romanization: ma, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ma) Padme (Tibetan: ཎི, Sanskrit Devanagari: णि, Sanskrit Romanization: ṇi, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ni) Hum (Tibetan: པདྨེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: पद्मे, Sanskrit Romanization: padme, Literal Chinese Meaning: Padme), there is nothing more supreme than this, this is the unerring essence for attaining unsurpassed Bodhi. Thus he advised the entire Tibetan populace. The heart essence Om (Tibetan: ༀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om) Mani (Tibetan: མ, Sanskrit Devanagari: म, Sanskrit Romanization: ma, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ma) Padme (Tibetan: ཎི, Sanskrit Devanagari: णि, Sanskrit Romanization: ṇi, Literal Chinese Meaning: Ni) Hum (Tibetan: པདྨེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: पद्मे, Sanskrit Romanization: padme, Literal Chinese Meaning: Padme), this is like the wish-fulfilling jewel, all supreme and common accomplishments arise from this. Recite this, generate diligence in this. Thus spoke the emanation king.

Oṃ so! The last testament left by Orgyen Rinpoche (Guru Padmasambhava) when he was about to go to the land of Rakshasas: The benefits of the six-syllable mantra are beyond the ability of even all the Buddhas of the three times to express and narrate completely. Why is that? Because it is the very essence of the heart of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara, who constantly gazes with compassion upon the six realms of beings, for the sake of liberating all sentient beings from samsara. Therefore, future generations of rulers and subjects, please cultivate great compassion! Recite the six-syllable mantra! There is no fear of going to the lower realms. Because it is the patron deity of snowy Tibet, pray with faith, reverence, and devotion! Blessings and accomplishments will arise. Do not have doubt or hesitation! There is nothing more profound than this Dharma, which even the Buddhas of the three times have not spoken, and I, Padmasambhava, have not spoken, I do not know! Those who are living now and those who will come in the future, all the rulers and subjects of Tibet, keep this in mind! Thus he spoke. Songtsen Gampo (King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet) said: A time will surely come when the merit of all people will decline. At such a time, if you wish to have happiness and fulfillment, pray to the Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara! Recite the heart mantra, the six-syllable mantra, ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ (Tibetan, ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ , Devanagari, oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ, Romanized Sanskrit, Om Mani Padme Hum, Literal meaning in Chinese). All the happiness and desires of this life come from this, just like praying to a precious jewel. In the future, obscurations will be purified, and you will surely attain enlightenment. Do not doubt or hesitate about this! This is the testament of the incarnate king. Machig Labdrön said: Now I consider Avalokiteśvara and Jetsun Dolma (Tara) as widely known characteristics. These two also seem to be the common ancestors of us snowy Tibetans, and they must be patron deities. Therefore, in principle, from the time a small child learns to speak, they can recite the six-syllable mantra, which is a sign that the lineage has been blessed by the Noble One. All of us should definitely regard the Noble One as a patron deity. Thus she said. The heart mantra, the six-syllable mantra, is the essence of the eighty-four thousand teachings, the foundation of all profound tantras, and the condensed essence of both Sutra and Tantra.
