Seal with the iron hook, and say "Phaṭ Phaṭ Phaṭ." Alas, son of the deceased lineage! Grasp this iron hook of compassion, look at this lamp of wisdom. This image is the support of the body, this nameplate is the support of speech, this mirror is the support of mind, this banner is the support of the body, this arrow-pen is the grasping stick, this small umbrella is the palace, this white lotus seat is the cushion for sitting, this relative is the former habit, this fragrance is the support of clothing. Deceased son of the Victorious Ones, at the boundary of birth and death, please raise your head; from the boundary of existence and non-existence, please turn your face; from the boundary of appearance and existence, please listen. Alas, sentient beings are so pitiful! In the realm of samsara, the time is so long; the ocean of karma is so deep; the wheel of existence is so powerful; the perverted consciousness is so strong; the imprints of delusion are so difficult to abandon; the suffering of hell is so terrifying; the intermediate state of changing bodies is so distressing. Alas, son of the deceased lineage! In the realm of samsara for so long, remember the iron hook of compassion. In the deep ocean of karma, remember the ship of diligence. In the powerful wheel of existence, remember the illusion of dependent origination. In the strong perverted consciousness, remember the words and vows. In the difficult-to-abandon imprints of delusion, remember the truth of the nature of reality. In the unbearable suffering of hell, remember the immeasurable armor. In the cycle of the six realms, remember the six perfections. Having committed the ten non-virtuous deeds, remember the ten virtuous deeds. After the body dies, the aggregates are afflicted, remember the bliss of the divine body. In the mandala of the great mother of the Victorious Ones, seek refuge with a mind of faith, and pray for protection with a mind of reverence. A ha ri ni sa rano samaya tiṣṭha lhan (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧ་རི་ནི་ས་རྣོ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཏིཥྛ་ལྷན།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अः हरिनि सरनो समय तिष्ठ ल्हन्, Sanskrit Romanization: aḥ harini sarano samaya tiṣṭha lhan, Literal Chinese meaning: Ah Ha Ri Ni Sa Nuo Sa Ma Ya Di Shi Ta Lan). Recite "Phaṭ Phaṭ Phaṭ," dissolve the nameplate, and visualize the deceased as actually present. Phaṭ! In a precious vessel, place the ransom torma, endowed with the five desirable qualities, and offer it to the deceased named "Door," and to the grudges accumulated from countless lifetimes. Now, grasping the life force, mind, and consciousness, not allowing the deceased to attain liberation, deceiving the deceased, and causing inauspiciousness to the living, the grudges, flesh-eating demons, and spirits.
