Likewise, abandon the music of delightful games, such as the sounds of the lute, 'tang tang,' and 'ting ting.' Abandon ornaments like coral and amber that are not used for counting mantras. Abandon precious necklaces used as bodily adornments. Abandon practices like applying scented water, perfumes, and incense. Abandon the act of seeking allure through incense and perfumes. Similarly, regarding clothing and ornaments, abandon fine adornments that are inappropriate for renunciates. Outside of teaching times, abandon thrones taller than one cubit, as well as large items like silk cushions. Abandon untimely food, abandoning food after midday. The four defeats (Parajika) learned by monks, the thirteen Sanghavasesa offenses, the thirty Nissaggiya Pacittiya offenses, the ninety Pacittiya offenses, the four Patidesaniya offenses, and the one hundred and twelve Dukkata offenses, totaling two hundred and fifty-three. Even if the meaning of all these is summarized, it is included within abandoning harm to others, including its root. Even if there are many offenses and wrongdoings, if the four root vows are without fault, one is counted as a monk who holds the vows. Both the novice monk (Getsul) and the fully ordained monk (Gelong) are difficult to lose their vows because the vows are great. If one has not killed a human being or a being that has taken human form, killing other living beings does not cause one to lose the vows. If one has not stolen an object worth one-fourth of a zho of gold, small thefts do not cause one to lose the vows. If one steals from a single owner a small amount, such as the value of one-fourth of a zho of gold, by physical means, such as taking crops during harvest time without permission, one loses the vows. If one has not engaged in sexual activity, even if the vows are weakened, one does not lose the vows. Lying to deceive and harm others, and falsely claiming to have clairvoyance and signs of accomplishment when one does not, falsely claiming to be a spiritual teacher of humans and gods, and saying one sees gods and spirits when one does not, this causes one to lose the vow of telling the truth. Lies such as jokes, and lies that greatly benefit others, do not cause one to lose the vows. Although the faults of alcohol are inconceivable, it does not cause one to lose the vows. Similarly, abandoning the Bodhisattva vow, and the remaining offenses of the Sangha, even if the offenses are very serious, do not cause one to lose the vows. Protecting the four root vows like one's life, and striving to purify other offenses through confession and observance, is the custom of all monks nowadays. Increasing merit and purifying sins, therefore it is called Posadha (Gsojong). So, what is Posadha like?

ra ga a syas所说。

There is no gathering to do, When a monk dwells alone, The blessing of upholding the Uposatha, Is said to be practicing the Uposatha of calming. In order to purify those transgressions, Meditating on the Samadhi of calming, Is in essence the Uposatha of calming. If the precepts are not kept, Even if generosity and other practices are vast, One will not obtain a good body, But will be born in wealthy realms like the Nagas. If the vows are not kept purely, Like seeds on a stone slab, The harvest of virtue will not grow. If the vows are lost, It is said that hundreds of millions of bodies Of hell beings, hungry ghosts, and animals will be taken. One transgression such as the seven offenses, When just one transgression arises, If confession and vows are not properly taken, One will fall into the body of a lower realm once. Therefore, it is called a transgression. Therefore, one should strive to confess The transgressions that have not destroyed the root. I pray to the sixteen Arhats of the Able One, and To the assembly of one hundred and six thousand Arhats, and Four hundred attendants. May I and my disciples and lineage, Be undefiled by the faults of immorality, And having become pure in discipline, May we become the ornament of the Able One's teachings, I pray that you grant your blessings. Said by Ra Ga Asya. Mangalam! Bhavantu! ༈ Homage to Bodhisattva! What is called the Great and Small Vehicles, Is the difference between great and small compassion. Fearing the suffering of samsara, Wishing to attain liberation for oneself, That is the Lesser Vehicle. Without leaving a single sentient being, They are the parents of many lifetimes, Those who suffer in samsara, Unable to bear it with great compassion, Wishing to liberate them, That is the Great Vehicle. There is no time when sentient beings are exhausted, As long as the sky exists, If one wishes to benefit sentient beings, Then one does not wish to quickly become a Buddha. Even after attaining Buddhahood, Still acting for the benefit of beings In the manner of a Bodhisattva, Is a Bodhisattva Among Bodhisattvas. Like the three protectors (Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, Vajrapani), Such Bodhisattvas are rare, I prostrate to them and take refuge. Generating a mind like a shepherd, For example, gathering all the livestock, And following behind oneself. That great Bodhisattva, Causes all sentient beings to become Buddhas, And after placing them there, becomes a Buddha oneself.
