For the sake of all sentient beings, May I generate the supreme mind of enlightenment like you. From beginningless time until now, Whatever sins, obscurations, and transgressions I have accumulated, Like a potent poison entering the stomach, I confess them individually with intense regret. From now on, throughout all my lifetimes, My body and possessions, I offer them all to Avalokiteśvara. With compassion, please hold me to perfect the two accumulations. Other than you, there is no other refuge. I pray from the depths of my heart, Please grant me empowerment and blessings, Bestow the siddhis of Mahamudra. Having prayed with such single-pointedness, Great compassion dissolves into light, Merging with me, inseparable, Obtaining the four empowerments, blessings entering. Look at the nature of your own mind, The mind has no form or color, Looking, there is nothing to see, That is emptiness, the perfection of wisdom. It is not nothing, yet it remembers everything. It runs unobstructed everywhere, That is called the flowing wisdom, stainless and clear. If you recognize that, it is wisdom. If you try to grasp it, you cannot, it runs in ten directions, Like a wild horse escaped from its tether. Let it go wherever it goes, relax your body and mind. If you let go, it will not go, it will return, Like a mare whose foal is held. Rest naturally in the essence of emptiness. This meditation has no object to fixate on, Like a shepherd watching a flock of sheep, Let them go wherever they go, stand at a distance and watch. The eighty-four thousand leaves of the tree, How can you cut them one by one and finish them? If you cut the trunk, everything withers. The eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma, Even if you study them one by one, you cannot reach the end, If you cut the root of your own mind, The eighty-four thousand collections of Dharma are included in that. Even if darkness covers the world, When one sun rises, everything is clear. The sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless time, If you realize your own mind as the Dharmakaya, they are purified. I dedicate all the virtues of my three times, So that I may attain perfect Buddhahood. Whenever I pass away from this life, In the western pure land of Sukhavati, May I take a pure rebirth. In this life, the next life, and the illusory bardo, May I be blessed by Avalokiteśvara, May auspiciousness and well-being arise. This was written by Bhikshu A-rag, with Anu Tsegon Gyal's practice as the essential heart practice. Mangalam! Mangalam! Sanskrit Romanization: Namo śānti krodhāya, Literal Chinese Meaning: Homage to the Peaceful Wrathful One). Bless all those assembled here! With transference of consciousness, ascend to the realm of the Dakinis, please hold us with your compassion! From the Akanishta Dharmadhatu pure land, Dharmakaya Buddha Samantabhadra, please bless all those assembled here! Please hold us with your compassion, that we may recognize the clear light at the time of death! From the five pure realms, the assembly of forty-two peaceful deities, please bless all those assembled here! Please hold us with your compassion, that we may accomplish the Sambhogakaya in the bardo! From the great spontaneously arisen charnel ground, the fifty-eight wrathful blood-drinking deities, please bless all those assembled here! Please hold us with your compassion, that we may recognize our own face in the bardo! From the great charnel ground of Utpala, the seven classes of oath-bound Dharma protectors, please bless all those assembled here! Please hold us with your compassion, that there may be no adverse conditions or obstacles! From the dark blue solitary tent of Chitta, the Buddha Samantabhadra who is our own mind, please bless all those assembled here! Please hold us with your compassion, that we may realize the primordial state! This is a prayer made by Araka when there was a slight disturbance during the peaceful and wrathful empowerment at Tamka. May there be auspiciousness! Herein is the prayer for the Guhyasamaja instructions. Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ Hūṃ)! On the lotus stalk of my crown, in the stamen with a thousand petals, resides the assembly of Guhyasamaja deities. On the thousand petals are a thousand Buddhas, blazing with marks and signs of glory. All the victorious ones of the ten directions, with their sons, come like a blizzard. They dissolve into the deities on my crown. Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ Hūṃ)! Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara, together with the thousand Buddhas of this fortunate eon, to all the sacred objects of refuge, I and all beings go for refuge. The outer world is destroyed by fire and water, the four seasons change and pass. Like the shadow of the setting sun, the Lord of Death approaches without delay. Not knowing that life is running out, we suffer over the exhaustion of food and clothing. Alas, how deluded I am! There are many obstacles and adverse conditions in life. Many younger than I have died. I have no confidence that I will not die. There are many untimely deaths due to planets and other causes. Today a person, tomorrow a corpse. I have heard of many such occurrences. To the Lord of Death, Yama, the Lord of Karma, there is nothing to say.
